All this talk of Potter and Moyes? Does anyone not think the club might have made an approach and got rebuffed?

Why on earth do some people think they'd jump at the opportunity to manageLeicesterCity? Apart from Potter probably being on an exceptional compensation package from Chelsea which might have been affected, neither of these two, at this particular standpoint in their careers, would want the stain of a relegation on it. Both have a reasonable reputation.

Both also probably did due diligence regarding playing staff and board, both probably didn't consider us worth the risk having done that. They probably have far better inside contacts than any of us on here. Cooper and RVN, for different reasons, are at a different standpoints in their careers (more desperate for a job) to Moyes and Potter which is why we probably ended up with them.

Good points , apparently two big managers turned us down and in guessing it was those two.

You got a source for that?

Sadly couldn't find one that explicitly stated that Steve Cooper pushed for Skipp but Skipp said his relationship with Cooper played a part in him joining.

Considering Cooper has signed players from his U17 world cup winning squad at all of the clubs he's been at I dont think it's a coincidence that Skipp was our marquee signing under him.

The only thing that's slightly concerning me is that in the second half we couldn't even muster  up 5 minutes of intensity. They came back out with Winks and produced a little more by way of tidy side to side passes.

If the players simply can't get motivated it's a different/deeper issue.....but at no point was I on the edge of my seat thinking the players understood the seriousness of the situation?

That moment where Cunha stood on the ball in the centre circle and not one player went to tackle him summed up the day.

I know they're not good enough but some of my favourite Leicester players had less ability than some of these. The issue is they do not care. There's nobody in that dressing room that is dishing out home truths. The whole club is comfortable. Nobody is pointing out how bad it is.

I'm in two minds.

His decision making on Ward has been catastrophic. Choosing him in a real pinch against Newcastle was perhaps forced upon him, but he didn't have to pick him in the squad. Five minutes' research would have told him that Ward isn't a Premier League goalkeeper, but he may also have taken the attitude that Ward had at least played this season. He won't be the first manager to give too little thought to goalkeeping options on the bench given how rare it is that a GK gets injured mid-game.

However, picking him after that disasterclass is unforgivable. Stolarcyzk may have been unavailable and not quite ready, but Iversen would have been a better starter. Either way, I just cannot fathom how any Premier League manager looks at that performance at Newcastle and thinks, 'yep. I'll give him the full 90 next week in our biggest game of the season.'

Much of the rest isn't his fault. He hasn't just inherited a very average squad but one that has several key players missing. Fatawu, Ndidi, Ricardo, Winks and of course Hermansen have all been unavailable to him or will continue to be. He was always going to have to weather it for a few weeks and try to have a decent transfer window.

The question then becomes how does that go. How much will he have to spend? How much say does he have over transfers? How good is his eye for a player?

There is plenty of evidence that Iversen is a better shot stopper which feels so surreal to type out considering Ward literally can't shot stops at all.

He was at Preston a couple of years back and was their POTY. He's a solid Championship GK.

The players just aren’t good enough for this level but his subs yesterday was a carbon copy of what Cooper would have done.
Will be down to who we get in January.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he quit if he doesn’t get who he wants.

At the very least Iversen does not concede the third goal yesterday, and who knows with the first given the clear communication errors.

Not sure if you're being tongue in cheek but rarely have I been so angry with a Managers selection, tactics and basically their ignorance

If he fuched off today I'd be ecstatic

Yep- moments like drove me mad.

The single thing that could have made a difference from moment 1 was the speed of pass. We always take too many touches and make the same pass...but with defenders back in position.

The amount times people are out wide, and available.....but instead of giving it to them we take 4 touches and then give it to them. So painfully basic!

and he'll continue to let bad goals in as his technique is atrocious and he does not have the instincts of a top class keeper. The 1st he should have stayed on his feet and collected, the 2nd he should been out to and the 3rd he should have held never mind palmed it in

The very epitome of madness in playing him yesterday

There should be an apology to the fans not a 'disappointed with the boo'ing'

For fuch sake get real

where's his backroom staff?

This is the question that needs to be asked at the next press conference. All seems a bit odd. Like he isn't really that committed and will **** off down the road when things go pear shaped.

Collomosse basically said they were both approached. They probably know what the set up is like here.

I’m sure OPA came out saying they were not being considered?

Why is no one in the club talking to him about this? He said he had no idea about the reputation he had with the fans.

His post match interview was hard to watch. He's rattled and doesn't seem to know how to respond or resolve this. His starting 11 yesterday was shocking and obvious it would result in defeat. Unless they literally park the bus against Liverpool in an attempt to keep the score down they will be obliterated.

What is concerning, is he already looks like he is cutting a lonely figure on the touch line…. He needs his staff in to help him at the moment he is working with the old regime, and it clearly isn’t going to work. Have we even replaced anyone who left when Cooper did? Which would suggest we’re running lite in the coaching department…….

I know he won’t be the perfect manager and that you can’t just instantly turn it all round but can someone please apply some rationale to some of the selection questions. Maybe there is something I’m not privy to or just not seeing.

JJ - I know he is shocking but kind of understand it as there is literally know one else.

what has okoli done to be dropped? I think he maybe had one bad game?

why was buenotte not starting yesterday? Comfortably our best player?

jakub or iverson not better than ward?

Surely there is someone better than Ayew?
