It's a precarious position to be in for King Power. If we get relegated, theres a good chance we aren't coming back up any time soon with how the club and squad currently is. I just don't understand why Top doesn't sell something he clearly isn't interested in. I can only guess he can't stomach the thought of parting with Vichai's dream and legacy....which is a problem for us.

What is their strategy / ambition for the club

To be a championship side for the foreseeable future?

Top has had plenty it chances to mix it up and refresh the boardroom but he has not an iota of  competence to do it, it’s time for the family to sell the club.

Well if this it the case more the reason to part ways what more can King Power do , a football club needs a strategy, we have built a training ground great , but needs must. If it’s Vichai’s wife that’s holding on for sentimental reasons please sell the club! Or hire competent people that know what they are doing.

I can’t imagine there is anyone who would buy us

So after the arsenal game.how many will be on 1yr and life bans?

Maybe the whole shame of it will force him to either make changes or close the kop down.

I’ve not done any analysis on this, so interested if anyone has a view.

i know we’ve overpaid in terms of contracts and that KP have written off debt. But given we’ve had a promotion, played in Europe recently and sold key assets, the level of actual investment in players seems no existent since COVID.

is the club propping KP up?

That’s certainly not true

there are dozens of funds looking at English clubs

How would the club be propping KP up? Doesn’t make any sense

None. Project Reset hasn’t posted in eight days and there’s no shared information or organisation.

That’s the question I’m asking. I know that’s the narrative, what I’m saying is in the last 4/5 years explain that investment? Training ground could have been financed any number of ways. We’ve sold at least 120m in players and had a promotion which is apparently 200m, I understand there’s multiple costs to a club. Ipswich have spent. I’m asking where’s the investment?

No idea, can’t claim to understand the intricacies. Sponsorship deal for one.

Of course there would be.

It wouldn’t take much to sort the club out. At most from the day of purchase, you might have to accept things being bumpy for up to a couple of years whilst letting fat contracts and uninterested mercenaries leave.

It just needs someone willing to rip up the culture and instil some standards.

How?

Who the f*** is going to give KP even a small percentage of what they have put into the club?

Worse is that the club is too sentimental to the family, the club will always be the passion of his late Dad, I just can't see him giving up.

Best we can hope for is he eventually wakes up and replaces the board with some competent people and lets them run the club for him (although Rudkin was his Dads friend, so I continue to fear the worst)

Just well off the mark. As others have said we’d be snapped up.

You have to remember the goal for Saudi/Arab funds is to own as much UK land as possible. Just look at what they’ve done at Manchester City, they basically own everything within a 1 mile radius of the ground and a bunch of property in the city centre.

Id imagine some of those funds would see leicester as ripe for this sort of “levelling up” that council and locals would lap up.

The investment is unfortunately largely in our wages, we were paying players champions league level wages when we got relegated, and that's not really changed.

When we went down, rather than looking at younger hungry players we bought in Coady and Winks who are both rumoured to be on between 70-100k a week.

We renewed vestergaard on a 3 year 70k+ a week deal.

It's not that king power don't have money, we just can't spend it because we have to operate under PSR restrictions that we've made an absolute pigs ear of. Look at Newcastle, they have Saudi money but had to sell almiron to balance the books and can't bring anyone in.

Just to add it would not surprise me if Vardy, vesty, winks, soumare and coady earn the same as the entire Ipswich squad.

If you’re not KP out today but want Rudkin, I promise you in a years time you will be there. Don’t delay the inevitable.

Being in the PL brings more exposure. We can’t lose this chance - the protests, chants etc. need to beam across Thailand to put the little boy under pressure

Perhaps it’s dawning on people that rock bottom was not May 2023 but some yet unknown date in the near future. We have players on obscene wages who are championship at best. The clubs desperately needs new leadership to get a grip of the culture , seagrave , fan engagement, a new level of professionalism catching up with best practices in the modern game. There is no fun in following this football club, just morbid fascination of what will go wrong next. Bar quite a few games last season it’s been pretty grim since 21/22 season. I went yesterday, we are just a terrible football team AND club at the moment. Not sure where the slide ends.

Correct. It started with Rodgers. It moved to Rudkin. I'm not prepared to piss away another year.
