What's mad to me is how obvious it is to anyone who takes a quite casual view. What's useful in football is there's a very obvious measure of your success so it really isn't hard to identify when things need to be changed.

You could've put the last relegation down to a freak (I wouldn't personally) but this now is definitive proof that things need to change. I can't remember a squander quite like this one to be honest.

We are on a similar trajectory to Blackburn Rovers, that would be the most recent in modern history.

Not really that similar, they stayed up for 12 seasons when they got promoted again

And we're easily bigger than Blackburn.

They usually turn Vichai’s supposed birthday into a state occasion

Seems to have been a bit more low key this year interestingly

Whats the score with him having two birthdays?

The club have always used April the 4th but in plenty of media stories and around his death June the 5th was often used

Yeah bizarre, I wonder why that would happen.

PSR has made it even more difficult to compete with the big clubs. Look at Newcastle they are struggling to break top 4 consistently because they cannot spend. It is annoying to see Man City and Chelsea having what seems a free pass. I wonder.of MCFC legal fess would be added to the losses? Chelsea will probably sell a warehouse in break even!

Companies House, the actual government official register has June

The cynic in me suggests they wanted something during the season

Anchoring can't come in soon enough to stop the winging. I don't get why the media and fans are obsessed with clubs running up massive losses. Crying that it's a travesty that owners aren't allowed to saddle clubs with 100s of millions of debt.

Were in the richest league in the world. Average wage is more than any other league.

Exercise a modicum of intelligence and sign literally any of the 98% of footballers in the world that are available to every premier league club.

B-b-b-but little Top watched the 1997 League Cup final between Leicester and Middlesbrough and that’s why they bought the club.

Didn’t you know?! :P

We are perceived to be now, however they’ve got a similar sized stadium and won the Premier league in 94/95, runners up 93/94 and were one of the older most elite clubs. They’ve won the FA Cup six times historically.

However they’re in an odd catchment area that must only have 150,000 inhabitants total I’d imagine. They’re also in close proximity to Burnley.

Venkys have destroyed them and they’ve become a Championship / League 1 club.

Complete guess but could it be linked to when the Royals gave them a new surname? In 2012 they changed from Raksriaksorn to the current Srivaddhanaprabha.

The board built up a level of support within the fanbase that was probably unlike any other club, but crucially this has been taken for granted through their own actions, and has in-part culminated in the proposed plane banner for Liverpool at home. They've been afforded loyalty which still exists today, but the board have also unnecessarily lost swathes of supporters.

This was only planned recently and they’ve managed to get them talking and rattle a few venky feathers.

Ask yourself, are we doing enough as a fanbase?

It’s been going on for close to 3 years now and it’s time for us to collectively grow some balls and get this happening with our mob.

Difference being their spend has been like £1-5m for years. Venkys operate by spending what they need to on running costs and barely keep everything else afloat. Bit like Mike Ashley but just for the Championship.

As bad as King Power have operated, they do throw money at it when they can. They've just done it horrifically. The way Rudkin and co keep getting out of jail is because of how easy it is to get out the Championship with a budget like ours. The fact Top can't see how going from where we were to where we are now is the real crime. That's the sackable offence. Thinking Rudkin is masterminding anything here by just about getting out of jail and PSR loopholes is laughable.

Just reading about Forests accounts, £167m net spend on transfers, wages up nearly £100m, can they do.what we failed to do or are they hugely at risk?

I don't see how they get away with operating how they are. The worst case scenario is they win the FA Cup this season. Because if they don't then they'll have nothing to show for it and be in a much worse scenario than we are now.

We never won the league because we were laughing in the face of PSR and doing what Marinakis is doing though. The ironic thing is we'd be right to praise Top and Vichai like we do for the Premier League if they did throw 350m at doing it.

Chucking money at the problem is not going to help. Club is fundamentally broken from the boardroom down.

Chucking money in terms of funding players too good for the championship. Which we undoubtedly did do last time. We made some good signings and got out at first attempt. With the recruitment staff as bad as ours and John Rudkin, that should tell you all you need to know about how easy it is to get straight out.

I don't doubt we will come straight back up. I don't live in this self deprecating cycle of depression so many Leicester fans do where everything is shit all the time. I heard all this about double relegation last time we went down. You can argue all you like that it keeps Rudkin and co. In a job and keeps us on the same cycle. It might do. But it's what's going to happen. We won't struggle in the Championship.

They have got something to show for it though, Championship league brings in huge sums of money, if they secure a place which I'm sure they will, it's clear the fat Greek will continue spending, he doesn't care about PSR that's quite clear

By something to show for it I meant the memory of winning something. But even so, it's not sustainable. Even after Villa secured champions league, they could only continue spending by selling players they didn't want to sell.

Even with a good budget, the bubble bursts with the way it's been set up now. This isn't me being anti-Forest either. It's happened to us very quickly because of many clowns at the club, but Forest aren't amazing or doing anything amazing. They are well drilled and have a good manager but you need to carry on spending how they have and get it right every time. That won't happen and the PSR punishments would ensure you eventually drop out of Europe anyway. Then the decline starts.
