King Power Out

We’re in a really precarious position.

Off the pitch it’s now clear KP are preparing to sell the club, so they’re not going to be putting anything into it unless it’s to balance the books in order to sell.

And, are they selling to the right market? It’s likely we’re over inflating our current worth and may struggle to be sold…..

A poor season next season will likely land us in serious financial bother, to the point where we will most definitely be looking at administration and insolvency…..

It’s the most important year in our clubs history. So much can go right, but everything could go wrong.

Absolutely !!
My gut feeling tells me we won’t be sold for the amount KP want and with KP not investing it’s huge pressure on and off the pitch now

Essentially King Power have turned the tap off fully then.

The incoming tap yes, the outgoing tap probably not.

Which other clubs use Macquarie? Be interesting to see whether they are well run clubs or not

Just look at Thames Water.  That's all anyone needs to know about Macquarie.

Also remember when the relationship with Macquarie first broke and people were falling over each other to say "not to worry" and "that everyone does it".

In fairness a lot of clubs do, do it

Top has factored everything to the loan company, any money/invoices go straight to them, plus an enormous amount of interest.

I thought that until I realised we still owed £28m for player purchases (who, and how the ****) so I would guess that recent player sales have gone into that pot, meaning the Macquary loans are getting bigger and bigger by the day.

I’ve said this many times, and some will argue with it, but honestly who is mental enough to buy us now? Everyone can see where this is going, and when it happens they will get us for a fraction of the price.

That still sounds like we will be about 10/15/20% of that total. Scandalous.

VLC86...he has used us as a cash cow, you know the shareholders and Tops money still gets paid! No doubt the suppliers and anyone else we owe money to, will get a penny to the pound if they are lucky

The feat of winning the Premier league will never be achieved again, and i very much doubt we'll win the FA Cup again in my life time. Should the people that helped us achieve this not be remembered and cherished at all costs, despite how it's ending? I get all the criticism but just think back to that special day when we lifted that title.. very very special.

Do you feel the same way about John Elsom?

Remember the players, not businessmen.

Swansea, Villa, Wolves, Burnley, Watford, Sheffield United, WBA, Southampton and Rangers at a glance.

If we default on Macquarie, they’ll potentially be able to get us and dismantle us to get the money they are owed.

That’ll be stripping the squad bare and all of the family jewels as well. It’s Wimbledon levels of bad isn’t it?

Do they all tie up every penny owed to them though.

I honestly don’t know but other clubs named are apparently Sheffield United, Southampton, Derby, Sunderland, Brighton, and West Ham,
