Whilst I know we have some very stupid, matchday going fans, that have little concept of anything to do with the club other than the 90+ minutes they spend in the stadium every other week, surely some of these folk on social media have got to be trolls. Whilst some are stupid, surely people like this Lucy Halford cant be that stupid. Utterly fcuking incredible!

He can very easily get wage estimates and transfer amounts have been well publicised if not confirmed for every outgoing player this pre season. It’s very clear that wages have been massively reduced, that transfer fees well above 28m have been received and there’ll be no future player debts on the horizon as we haven’t spent any money since Skipp. This gives some balance. Speculating about this would not get him in court but it would also reduce the interactions. Maguire’s main aim is to earn money, to maximise hits and direct traffic through his social media and he does this by picking out the controversial parts of year old accounts that get the most reactions.

And if he cared, why was he barely around last season and much of the one before? Why does he not communicate with the fan base regularly? I actually think the fact he doesn’t care enough is one of the biggest problems. He only wants to be there when he has nothing better to do and trusty Jon will take care of literally everything for him whilst he’s not.

 

This man has been, and continues to be, a danger to LCFC. He should be despised worse than the likes of Dennis Wise at our club. But if people keep saying he’s ‘naive’ or ‘badly advised’ then they’re just kidding themselves and not fronting up to the difficult reality of the situation.

We still have huge day to day running costs that need to be paid for.

 

Our revenue aside from player sales is going to be low, we’ll still have a very large wage bill for L1, we have two training grounds (one extremely expensive) and a stadium to run. Plus loan repayments.

 

We also need some incoming players, even loans and free rangers will incur some costs.

 

Maguire picks up on the most eye catching numbers ofc but the world works on that premise, would you ever read a news story about the 19th most exciting thing that happened in your area today?

The Facebook crowd are unremarkable people. Bland jobs, sheltered lives, basic education and a real lack of critical reasoning/thinking skills.

 

But get on a Facebook page surrounded by 50 others like them and start to trot out lines like “we should be grateful to the family” and “I’ll support my club no matter what” and all of sudden they get a few likes. A bit of social status. Some significance.

 

It’s like Pavlov’s dog stuff. Post banal comment that shows your best supporter badge of honour and some other simpleton gives you a reward of a like or a ‘well said’.

 

These people plot out the same platitudes which is why it’s so easy to parody them but also why, when asked to explain why they think a certain way, they can’t.

 

But I do think it’s important that we educate them. That their nonsense is called out and they’re asked questions that unravel the thread of whatever simple but floored argument they try to make (like “careful what you wish for” or “who’s going to buy the club? Are you going to spend the money to do it? Thought not, so shut up”).

But none of those wage estimates or transfer amounts have any confirmation. They are all just guesses by random sources. 
 

Everything he has said on Twitter is factual and the reason for his latest post is because of a new document which had came to light in the last five working days, not just a year old set of accounts. 
 

He tweeted to say there’s no risk of administration currently but it will get very messy. There’s nothing to debate on that statement . It’s not controversial it’s pure fact that we losing £200k per week in interest. He didn’t even tweet the most controversial fact that King Power are charging the club 6% on their own debts/loans to the club

Exactly my point. So when Leicester City fans read it and declare the end of the club as we know it and opposition fans get ready to dance on our grave, let’s all take a moment and realise that whilst it’s bad and we are clearly in a bad place, that we should have a more balanced reaction knowing what KM’s true motives are.

I've watched a lot of League One, and the thing that strikes me is how solid and established the vast majority of the teams are. Just take a club like Mansfield and you'll see a strong well run club that knows how to trade players. These teams are no mugs as we saw them run Arsenal close last season. I think many are underestimating the task we're taking on.

 

If we look back at the Pearson squad that won League one, it's night and day compared to what we have now, so unless we go out and buy 7-8 players in the next few weeks we certainly won't be running away with it and gaining 100+ points.

Maguire picks out the negative facts and ignores the positive facts within the spreadsheets for a start. Accentuates the bad and not the positive aspects and that’s understandable because that’s more interactions for him. 
 

The loss of wages of ALL of our highest earners Winks, Daka, Ricardo, Vestergaard are facts that should be considered against accounts that end in June 2025 to ensure people are aware that costs have been cut significantly since the June25 snapshot as should transfer sales that have been reported extensively as being £45m with more sales expected. They aren’t just pissing in the wind guesses. Maguire uses contacts off the record often and this is the same off the record chat that means transfer fees aren’t just guesses. That balance could be added, but it isn’t.

Fair, but I’d say we still at absolute best case spend  4x more than we need to at this level to become sustainable, and then it means the loan is never paid off. Completely ignoring the fact that to get there, we’ve ended up (and this may change as the window goes on but I doubt it) having to rely on youth players.

 

Id love to see the glimmer of positivity that you are here but I can’t unless the club is sold quickly.

What’s the factual positives of our situation? 
 

What in our latest accounts was positive for the future of the club? 
 

Of those four players you’ve mentioned, two of them will have been subject to a financial package that no one other than the club and player will be subject to. Vestergaard will have needed a pay out and we are very likely to be paying a chunk of Winks wages for the rest of this year as a gap payment. That’s why he can’t speculate on wage bills / transfer fees. Notwithstanding we don’t have any factual evidence of their original individual wages. 
 

Maguire in one reply, ‘for balance’, mentioned the incoming £45 million transfer fees while equally he didn’t the fact that the incoming money to the club from sources such as TV, matchday ticket sales, merchandise, prize money is all significantly reduced.
