Jesus wept.

The very first frame I watch and the colours are scattered everywhere and Selby is playing containing safety shot after containing safety shot because he doesn't want to open the reds up.

I hope for his missus' sake he's more interesting in real life.

4 time world champion, only player to get a 147 in a world championship final, top bloke, been through a lot, he can do whatever he wants, he has nothing to prove to anyone.

I never said he has, and I agree he's a great player. He's just interminable to watch at times.

I actually think I enjoy how annoyed people get watching Selby lol and I do think he's held to a different standard to everyone else and people are just waiting to criticise.

Problem Selby has, particularly these days, is finishing frames off. Them one or two extra balls in a break would shave his match times by a third..and then it causes frames to drag as he's so good (difficult to play against) in that situation.

Yeah ive mentioned this regularly

He can fly through a frame yet seems to start over thinking everything once he gets to the 50+ point mark, the amount of times ive seen him lose a frame when he only needs another red etc is frustrating as hell

2 hours to play 7 frames. And in danger of being taken off for the afternoon session.

At least with tickets to his matches you get your money's worth.

You do realise it takes 2 players to play a game of Snooker?

Jones also faces criticism for his style of play but you've said nothing of that.

Has Selby shagged your mrs/fella or something?

Ugh.

Selby and his joyless, soul-sucking, coma inducing snooker and Rob Walker on comms.

If it wasn't for Desi I wouldn't bother having it on.

Give him a break, he has to watch Leicester in his spare time.

Love watchinbg vafaei...which usually means he loses in round 1.

Always used to see him in my gym when I lived in sheff before he was a top 32 player. Nice lad, the Ronnie drama from a couple of years back was also hilarious

I don’t think he’s been the same since that tbh,  he’s entertaining to watch and loves the attention but trying that against Ronnie, fair to say it backfired massively lol

15/16 seeds through, the joint highest ever.  Only happened twice before in 1983 - when Jimmy White lost to Tony Meo - and again 10 years later when Doug Mountjoy defeated seed Alain Robidoux.

Higgins not giving Ronnie much of a game so far, although Ronnie is looking in pretty good knick.

Seems to have a difference focus to what I've seen from him in the last few years.
