Dunge Posted 11 February 2025 Posted 11 February 2025 I feel I can say with great confidence that Kemi Badenoch will never be Prime Minister. From a Conservative perspective, arguably she was worth a gamble but she shows no sign of working. She can’t build up a head of steam on anything and just flails along from week to week. I reckon she’ll be replaced by James Cleverley by the end of 2026. The Conservative MPs will be keen to not make the same mistake again in the next leadership contest. 1

Guest Bilo Posted 11 February 2025 Posted 11 February 2025 Keir Starmer’s Bizarre Agricultural Policies Spark Outrage and Confusion London, 11 February 2025 – Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer is facing fierce criticism after a series of shocking and inexplicable actions involving farm animals, a family picnic, and an unorthodox approach to fashion design. Eyewitnesses in a rural constituency claim they saw Starmer engaging in a string of bewildering activities, including forcing pigs to smoke, housing twenty-foot-high chickens in a shed, and terrorizing them with their own inexplicable gigantism. The chickens, reportedly suffering from existential dread, have refused to comment. The controversy escalated when Starmer encountered a picturesque field where a family was enjoying a peaceful picnic beside a serene pond. Without hesitation, the Labour leader allegedly ordered the pond to be filled with concrete before instructing a nearby ploughman to till the family directly into the soil. Environmentalists have decried this as “a devastating blow to both local biodiversity and basic human rights.” As if that weren’t enough, witnesses claim Starmer then blew up a tree, harvested its leaves, and crafted them into a dress for his wife—who, according to some reports, is also his brother. Political analysts are struggling to interpret the significance of this act, with some suggesting it could be a radical new stance on sustainability, while others fear it signals a worrying decline in Starmer’s grasp on reality. The Labour Party has yet to release an official statement, but sources close to Starmer insist that his actions have been “wildly misrepresented” and that “any giant chickens, smoking pigs, or family-ploughing incidents should be taken in context.” Meanwhile, the Conservative Party has seized on the scandal, with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak stating, “This raises serious questions about Keir Starmer’s suitability for leadership. Britain deserves a Prime Minister who doesn’t turn farmland into a scene from a fever dream.” As the nation attempts to make sense of these developments, political experts warn that Starmer’s latest antics could significantly impact Labour’s standing in the polls—unless, of course, the electorate decides they actually quite like enormous chickens.

The police officer made a second statement 9 months after the fact when the CPS said no chance of prosecution, saying how terribly upset he was, then in court seemed not to be able to explain why he was upset. I am sure he gets a lot worse on a weekend, but they concocted this nonsense case. Very strange choice imo and you have to wonder why. 3

Labour will improve over the next few years and probably win a second term, so no indeed she has sod all chance even if she does fight that election. Good chance Tories and Reform merge though after that out of necessity. The right finally has the same problem of split vote that the left has had since the 70s. 1

I'm not sure again what those two facts have to do with each other to be honest. Plenty of other banks to choose from these days, so they are doing something right. Interesting that despite high interest rates and cost of living crisis, they have record low levels of bad debts, and they are seeing increased savings levels which hopefully means a lot of people have more disposable income.
