New CB Pairing

Sorry, this is not about new CBs signed.

 

But we ought to try Okoli and Coady now as the CB pairing. They can’t do worst.

 

Faes is prone to make mistakes game after game and constantly out of position resulting in the need to chase.

 

Vesty is way too slow and also often out of position.

 

The two of them don’t complement each other.

 

Justin has to be dropped. Yes he does pop forward but he is contributing to a lot of our conceded goals this season.

 

Fix the defence first with what we have to give ourselves even a chance at getting something from each game.

Doesn’t matter who we pick. Fundamentally none of the defenders we have are remotely good enough. I would like to see okoli and Coady given a go as well but they won’t be any better. We needed signings got none or should I say one who is a RB who is not going to be picked ahead of Justin who has had a dreadful season.

The only regular players who look like they have given the remotest sh1t this season are Bilal, Soumare and Hermansen. 

 

Coulibaly, Coady, Okoli, VK (because we have no other option at LB, or maybe move Justin there).  Soumare and Ndidi (or Skipp until Ndidi is fit) with Bilal, Facundo and Mavididi.  Daka up top purely for some energy and pressing.

 

Is this a good team?  No it's pony. But we've just been slapped by a decimated Everton.  So do something Ruud, even if it is to try and galvanise the squad and send a message that what we saw was unprofessional and unacceptable. 

 

If he picks Faes again then I am done with him. I can't take any more of his arm waving, head shaking, complete lack of responsibility taking bullshite..

Trouble is with everyone saying play Nelson, as soon as he has a couple of bad games he’ll be given pelters by the social media warriors and fall into the never good enough category.. faes granted, but has okoki really been given the game time to make that judgement? I don’t mean 10 games, I meant really given the time??  No. I say start Caleb because let’s face it, currently he could be the strongest we’ve got

Okoli just needs to start every game now. Give him the game time he needs to progress. Whether that’s with 3 at the back or 2, I don’t care. Just please never play Vestergaard and Faes together again.

I wouldn’t bother putting a defence in they do absolutely nothing when they play so might aswell just put daka in Reid in ndidi when he’s back and stick Danny ward in because goalkeeping ain’t his thing so maybe RWB might be a position he could try

Play a 3 Okoli, Coady and Faes as much as I hate Faes. Maybe the 3 will cover some of the inevitable faes brain farts and The bear says Coady is decent in a 3. Also give protection for Justin and Kristansen being shit.

 

Stick Facundo in the centre with Ndidi and Soumare, let Bilal roam, put Daka  up front. Hope it works, nothing else works anyway. Get Bilal and Fucundo to press non stop for 90.

Faes and Vestergaard weren't good enough two years ago. People forgot about this just because they both had one good season in the Championship. I will never back those two. Shambles of defenders.

3 centre backs. Wilf, who we are very hopeful comes back with some form but Wilf has his hot and cold period sitting in front. Is the only way.
 

These pricks need 6 wins. They can’t even draw. It’s impossible and the manager seems to want to play a completely opposite style to what suits his players. Great management mate. 
 

Faes to **** off and then **** off some more. He can’t play in a 2, 3 or 4.

Play a 3 at the back consisting of Okoli, Coady, Soutar when back from loan with Woyo and Kristiansen in the wider channels. However, for now have Okoli, Coady, Kristiansen with Woyo and another player in the wider channel, allowing a possible four at the back is needed due to Woyo.

As others have said I just don’t know why we’ve not even tried 3-5-2. It’s well known Coady and Vestergaard are much better in a back three and I think it compliments Justin and Kristianson as well. 
Personally I’d go with the below, let’s face it it can’t be worse than it is currently!
