I was watching the end of the Liverpool Everton game, in particular the fight after full time. Curtis Jones saw Doucoure celebrating in front of the Liverpool fans and started something that ended in 3 red cards.

Got me thinking - when was the last time our Leicester players have fought for us as fans? Definitely not in the last 10 years unless I'm forgetting something.

And when have they been involved in a bust up in against another team? Game against Chelsea when Perez blew our Champions League hopes springs to mind as the last time something of the sort happened.

I remember things briefly flaring up against Norwich at the KP in 2019 when Cantwell and co floored Iheanacho. The same match that saw Norwich suss out how vulnerable we were to the high press and paved the way for nearly every team to do the same.

Not sure players blowing a gasket and getting a ban is helpful. As Lineker once said the best way to get your own back is to score a goal

You're right. Violence is never the answer. But I'm fairly sure this bunch of players (bar a 38 year old legend) are incapable of scoring a goal.

On the other hand, seeing your players fight for you gives an extra burst of adrenaline (or at least it does for me). There's just something about it. Gets the crowd up and ignites a flame for the rest of the game in terms of atmosphere. I like the modern game, but its this sort of passion that's missing imo.

Most of them won't sprint across the pitch to make a challenge let alone to get involved in a brawl.

TBH Merseyside Derby aside, it rarely happens in any game now. The challenges are tame, anything even remotely late or following through is a yellow. Refs just don't allow it to boil over like that.

Wasnt that 2020?

I agree you need a blend. When we were good we had Mahrez but we also had Huth. You will remember when Vardy got sent off in that West Ham game. We dug in without losing our rag and Ulloa showed nerves of steel

It helps that Curtis Jones is a local lad.

I remember being some words said after the game with Perez in particular having a go after Liverpool beat us in 2019-20 with that dodgy pen at Anfield.

Wasn't that also the game when Klopp started whinging about Hamza for the challenge on Salah?

Curtis Jones is a d1ck

Sticking up fo his hometown fans- proper d1ck?

If we had half that anger from ANY of our players we wouldn't have got relegated a couple of season ago and probably not in this sh1t situation now

I don't need to see someone swinging punches but fire and passion wouldn't go a miss. The body language is lethargic and careless. If only someone could get in the changing room and tell them. One crunching tackle and the crowd will be on your side, have a good go and come off the field shattered

Vardy’s the only one who may have stepped in on our behalf.

On the game, Everton were everything we’re not, passion, drive, and an old school 4-4-1-1 with a rejuvenated big man up top that you’re premier league centre halves can’t deal with these days. I loved it!!

Yeah I think it’s more than evident rhey aren’t a proper team.

Equally it’s telling that not a single player of ours has lost his cool and ended up getting sent off out of pure pissed off frustration.

I don't think we have fight at all, certainly not compared to how Moyes has seemed to install it in Everton so quickly, however it's difficult to draw comparisons to yesterday's game as it was a local derby, between two teams within the same City, and Jones is local (I'm guessing a Liverpool fan).

What we saw yesterday rarely happens in games, especially top flight games. The passion was great to see. Merseyside Derby always delivers though, I'm sure it's the derby with the most red cards.
