A good manager recognises weaknesses in their team and makes effective changes - Sterling. A poor manager fails to notice those weaknesses until it’s far too late - Reid

The game was so strange, Arsenal were really quite toothless upfront, sterling was just awful, so it's more of a case of a poor Arsenal rather than us looking solid at the back. As soon as the subs came on we were back to our usual selves. Kristianson is just a championship defender, very much a 4 or 5 out of 10 defensively and going forward every game. Ayew and BDR starting is just so sad. They are pretty much as useless as useless can get. Vardy has just not got the tools to lead our like anymore, he runs out of steam pretty quickly, he'd be OK as an impact sub but isn't the answer to lead our line. I just wish Mavididi had some footballing intelligence. His decision making is one of the worst I've seen but he's so talented, makes me sad to see it wasted. Bilal didn't have his best game, but you could tell he was in two minds and his defensive direction by Ruud had him shackled. I don't know what the answer is. We just don't have the players to change things, we don't have a manager who can adapt and grind out results. I feel the inevitable.

I feel a bit sorry for Sterling, but the legs have gone. It was a sad sight really.

He could probably get a game for us though

If we had some attacking threat we might have got a point

So sad to see Vardy going out like this. Saliba and Gabriel won’t have an easier afternoon all season

Slight improvement from the team and surely RVN picks Mavididi and Buonanotte from the get go on Friday night

looked solid for 80 minutes, but didn't really create anything.

We will never score!!!

Cant have a 38 year old playing alone up front, and everyone else too far away from him.

Then lazy / switched off defending costs us two goals, again!!!!

Just back now and a few things were pretty obvious to me - Ndidi changes this team so much and adds so much more than Winks, JJ and Woyo both had good games and both look so much better than VK in my opinion, thought VK looking at Merino constantly but doing nothing about it for their second was incredibly naive, Daka needs to start and Vards needs to be used as an earlier sub against more tired opposition. Hope JJ's not injured seriously as I think Woyo right back and JJ on the left might be our best fullbacks, Faes and Okoli look like our best CBs even if Faes isn't very popular a the moment and I just think Ruud needs to work out what he's doing with his wingers.

Ruud doesn’t give a ****, he’s getting a big pay out when we go down and he gets the sack. We’re just limping to relegation.

At least limping implies we're still on our feet haha

We are down and out. No fight, no chance of staying up and the owner and management don’t give a dam

In isolation, we weren’t bad today and the luck that Cooper often got wasn’t evident. That was a better performance than that at the Emirates but Justin didn’t score a worldie and today we were a few inches from a goal.

However time is running outb

Just predictable. Totally ineffective up front and decent defensive work undone at key moments.

The whole club has drifted into nothingness on and off the pitch.

How long do the "we weren't too bad", "we showed glimpses" excuses last before they start to wear off? We've lost 9 out of 10 games for Christ sake. We can't score or defend for shit. "Showing glimpses" you'd expect 3 games in after a new manager joins. If he can't convert these glimpses into winning performances, he needs to be shown the door.

we have Vesty, Ayew and Reid on THREE YEAR DEALS and no one will take them off us. So we will be stuck with three carthorses for another 2 seasons.

They’ll see out their careers with us. The wingers are also keeping out our academy lads, which really irritates me from the point of view of a strategic vision re: the future.

Have looked back over our previous seasons in the top flight and there are currently only 2 seasons where our points per game is worse than this season:

1977/78 - 0.64 PPG (converted to 3 points per win)

2000/01 - 0.67 PPG

We're currently on 0.68 PPG and it's high likely that will get worse, given the remaining fixtures we have.

So, this team might well have the dubious honour of being our worst ever top flight team.

Exactly this. We need our fastest players up front and that means doing the unthinkable and dropping Vardy. We need to defend like our lives depend on it and need to deploy fast counter attackers. That means more minutes and a proper run of games for Daka where we don’t ask him to play with his back to goal but rather off the shoulder of the last defender. We have never played to his strengths.

Agree.

I thought at the start of the season that we might see some benefit from bringing Vardy on as an impact sub.  An occasional, "nice-to-have" presence.

Instead, relying on and starting a 38 year old every game, and playing him for most of the game, even when we've been getting humped, rather than rotating him in occasionally, has brought diminishing returns and seems like poor resource management.

RVN was a great striker.  He wants to be a great coach.  You would hope that he could identify a use for and coach Daka into improvement.

I live in hope.

In the Great Escape season we were always in games. No thrashings. There was character and then it clicked. Can’t see it this season.

Ruud is also on record as being a fan of Daka. I thought we’d see more after the West Ham game. Puzzling we haven’t.

I’ll concentrate on a positive today…

Woyo Coulibaly

13/14 successful passes

3 tackles(2nd most of Leicester players)

3/4 duels won

3/4 ground duels won

Thought his 1 vs 1 defending especially was very decent.

He was against sterling who was abysmal

Woyo was on the pitch for what 50 mins? By maths when considering Sterling’s subbing, he spent half of his time on pitch defending against Trossard

It's unfathomable that Vardy is playing 90mins.

That's the big frustration for me. Wasn't doing thst 2 seasons ago

For 80 minutes we looked quite good, then last ten sadly we just looked out of steam.

I do feel time as come sadly as much as we love Vardy. We cant start him anymore.
