personally I think the sales of hermansen and Wilf and BEK who would all likely want to leave would give us a big budget to make a very strong championship squad if allowed to spend it

Agree on paper seems very strong for championship but there’s always 1 or 2 sides that have horrendous journeymen teams that seem to randomly have a mega season in the champ, don’t fancy us in the play offs with the mentality imbedded in the club

And this is why a complete overhaul at board level is essential.  Can you imagine the carnage with this turnover of players  with the current set up.

I’d add Mavididi to that as well. He’s not been good this season but we know what he can do. If it was possible to keep a 3 behind the striker as Fatawu, BEK, Mavididi, that’d be great.

 

Agree that Okoli (if he stays), Nelson and Souttar if the latter two come back well from injury would be good. 
 

I can’t see us shifting JJ and Ricardo so likely one of them plus Coulibaly at right back.

 

Left back is tricky. Kristiansen and Thomas would be suitable for the league if we aren’t doing Enzo style this time. But the fan base is largely beyond giving either of them the time of day.

 

Stolarcryk plus reinforcements for GKs.

 

Central midfielders who knows who will stay and who will go. I likely Ndidi but he might have interest. Cant see us shifting Winks and Skipp but would like to just because the weak minded Spursyness is something we don’t need. Soumare would probably smash it if he was interested but a year on his contract he probably heads to Europe somewhere.

Day one of the transfer window. No pissing around waiting for a new manager and giving him preseason to waste while he looks at them.  Just give the new manager a compilation of our goals conceded, that’s all they need to see.

Sell because they make money:

 

Mads - £40mill hopefully.  There's a lot of clubs with shit keepers.

Soumare - Final year of his contract.

Souttar - If Sheffield Utd go up, they may well offer an attractive sum for him, and whilst there's an argument he should stay because of our options, my opinion is that he's not good enough for the step up so ultimately will not be good enough if we keep him and get promoted.  He's a saleable asset and ironically is probably likely to fetch more than any of our current defenders, therefore if we can make money on him, I think we should.  If not, it's not a problem, but I think Nelson and Okoli is fine for the starters.  HS would be good for depth, but we might be better off with the money.  All of which is moot if Sheffield Utd don't want him.

 

Sell if we can but who's buying?

 

Any fullback bar Woyo. JJ, Thomas and Riccy are in their last year of their deals, VK isn't good enough so if there's money on the table, see ya later.

Faes.  For a quid to anyone stupid enough.

Nobody is buying Coady or Vesty are they?

Every midfielder is up for sale.  Bilal needs to be £40mill to consider it. 

Daka.  Leaving us with 0 strikers!  Another in his final year.  If we can sell I'd hope we could buy/loan someone to replace.

We will lose that PL TV money so will have to cash in on anyone half decent, for a fee worth less than their worth.

When you see the squad laid out like that, we definitely need a good window.

 

That’s a very, very average spine of a squad.

 

I don’t want to be overly negative but wingers like Reid, Ayew wouldn’t cause trouble even in a lower league, if you can’t run….what’s the point.

 

I could see JJ being given an extension on his hefty wedge too based on recent dealings by the cub 😢
