So as it stands we don't still have an assistant manager?

It would look that way.

I’ve also read that we won’t be replacing Alcock and Dawson.

I’m not really sure what’s occurring.

Something isn’t right here, we have just been pumped at home for 4 in what was a honking performance, manager and players look disconnected and the clubs response is to double down with the manager and throw 2 coaches under the bus.

Sorry but whilst this should have happened when Cooper left, there is still something that doesn’t sit quite right here. I have a feeling there is already an agreement in place for Ruud to walk away after Thursday and this is preparing the situation for the interim/replacement to come in with 1 or 2 of his own.

I think it could be as simple as put earlier, is it 3 months notice?

Do we know if they have been working or on leave?

I’m not sure to be honest. I did wonder if they’d been seen in any photos of recent training sessions.

I’ve just gone through the Arsenal pre training photos and I think they’re on those. So we’re still working.

It could be, but Coopers other coaches were sacked at the same time as him, so why would these two wait another 3 months? Unless it was to tie us over I guess?

The whole thing seems really odd, especially as we're rumoured not to replace them. It doesn't make much sense.

We are a mess of a club

The BBC report on the story says: “The decision was taken to help Ruud van Nistelrooy as he battles to save the Foxes from relegation, with the side second bottom of the Premier League.”

That suggests to me that the decision was taken after Friday, and that Dawson and Alcock were told yesterday. And the ‘working their notice’ period is completely implausible anyway. Has anyone ever heard of a PL football coach being told they’re surplus to requirements but made to work their their notice? How motivated would they be to do their best in training every day if they knew they were no longer part of the project? It would be terrible for the atmosphere. It’s a daft theory :D

There could have been an angry altercation at the training ground or after the Brentford game with RvN and these two and the club have backed the RvN. I can imagine he's hot headed at times.

We need to replace them with high quality and experience coaches.

I thought Rouwelaar was sort of Ruuds assistant as his man he brought in… Although looks like he’s now going to be tasked with being GK coach and first team coach as well following the departures. Shambles

Are we wiping the canvas clean in preparation for a new manager in a new season perhaps?

If the club has decided it wants a new manager, Ruud would have gone too.

Think he had a bust up with staff at PSV too....

Yep  he did as well as being upset with sales.

It makes a little sense, as maybe the reason he hasn't brought in staff as he hasn't forged good working relationships.

Also read that several players at PSV complained to the board about his methods 😂😂😂

He had one managerial job and fell out with his coaching team, so there was nobody else he could call.

You’ve heard he was upset with the sales department too?! Did he at least have a decent working relationship with HR and accounting?

Sales of players, that haven't been replaced is what I meant.

Blokes had the likes of Jaap Stam offer his services, although with question marks over Ruud's long term future I can see why we're not desperate to employ more staff right now.

Murphy and King will likely stick around post Ruud anyway.

Is there anyone else in the Pep club from Man city that we could go for that may have worked with Murphy? Other than Enzo.

When he left PSV it is reported that he fell out with the coaching staff and some of the players. So hopefully this is a good omen? perhaps they voiced there concern over his abilities?

If RvN is to walk (now or at the end of the season), I'm sure Barry-Murphy will pick up the pieces, with Kingy as Assistant and (as you say), a couple more Coaches he'll bring in.

We stand a better chance of getting a result if we sack him before Thursday.

We can't defend for shit and are leaking goals more than at any time I can remember in thirty odd years. Jaap Stam would be brilliant to bring in as a defensive coach.

It might be too late to turn the clowns we've got into half decent defenders but he could do good things with the defenders in the youth set up and help develop them ready for the step up.

And he might be able to get an extra 10% out of Faes and Vesty, meaning we'd only be conceding two goals a game instead of four.
