I’ve never seen anything like it. Don’t think there’s ever been a festival where so many “good things” have been beaten. Just GDC to get turned over now lol

Skybet are taking it on by boosting it to evens so there is some doubt obviously!

It would sum the festival up.

For me this is what racing is about. You do your research and something like that could have spiked your interest. Solid horse on the flat, decent money purchase and Tony Bloom doesnt often buy duds. Would have been worth a couple of quid EW.

Its been a great festival to watch as hardly been any dead rubber races!

There's been a few where you think how the f**ck has that happened..

But when you actually do a bit of digging after, you see that they aren't bad horses and probably stood a chance all along.

100/1 is crazy though, that 'should' never have been in with a chance yet ran like it was favourite.

Banbridge should give it a good run for its money, but I think only a jumping mistake stops it winning. It's just too good.

Certainly wouldn't rule it out though the way things have gone!

The ground isn't perfect but that shouldn't matter, clean round and it will win.

Galopin des Champs got battered

The falling horse didn't do him any favours but yeah, your right, come the end there wasn't even a contest.

You could tell by the lack of people cheering in the crowd just how many people had put their mortgage on Galopin to win. He was a lot of people's banker of the festival.

Stayed away from this race, glad I did because id have gone for Galopin too.

Its been a strange one overall, a lot of the favourites not winning but getting beat by younger horses. Perhaps some fresh talent breaking through from the usual favourites which is nice.

One of those where you're just waiting for Galopin to kick on but he never did.

Guess the ground was a bit too quick for him.

Bookies will all be buying their new yachts tomorrow.

You just knew it, especially after having a Mullins 4 timer in the previous races. Was a great race though, the winner was class throughout and GDC never got going.

No way i'd have cashed that out. Fair play lol

Me neither.

A mate in a work WhatsApp group had the exact same 4-fold e/w and we all told him to stick, which he did. Several rounds of fvcks was duly given to us after!!

One of the worst festivals ive had for betting, but one of the best I've had for viewing.

Wonder how a lot of these big name horses will fair in the future events because I dont think its bad luck that many fell / were beaten. A lot are ageing now and there's some very good horses coming through.

You taking the mick mate

Not particularly, no. Stop viewing the races from your pocket for a minute. We’ve had massive upsets, drama, great rides on Fact to File & Dinoblue, a 100/1 shot win, Jango Baie come from nowhere to win, a fairytale on day 2 with Marine Nationale & Jazzy Matty.

Biggest disappointment of the week for me was GDC not showing up would’ve loved to have seen him get that 3rd gold cup.

If I wanted upsets and drama I’d have got a Netflix subscription. Horse racing is all about backing winners and nothing else

It really isn’t. Sad that you think like that.

Really enjoyed the racing this week.

Great to see some new names coming through, upsets, chaos and Gordon Elliott having a stinker (shame he won the last yesterday but hey ho).

My betting got gradually worse day by day but I'll always have Marine, Jango and most of all The Ace (you beautiful horse).

As Bert says. Roll on Aintree!

Do some research and back them then.

Best festival I've had in years over £500 up over the 4 days and max I had was a fiver a race.
