We all know a points deduction is coming and the EFL will be sharpening their knifes but does anyone know if there's a transfer embargo aswell?

We may still get a retrospective deduction for 22/23, but I don’t think we’ll get an embargo.

Embargoes are normally used to make the club stick to a business plan if it looks like they may breach at the end of the on-going season. So we may get one later in the season, but I suspect we’ll sell a couple of players and be ok.

Would like to think we have relegation clauses in all contracts now.

But knowing Rudkin it's more likely a relegation bonus.

To be honest, anything that limits Rudkin being able to damage our club further is a good thing – so I'm silently hoping we do end up with a transfer embargo.

If they do nothing one thing will be guaranteed.

We will be the most hated club in the EFL.

Leeds will find some way to bottle promotion again so that won't be true either!

Would it be a good thing if we got a new DoF in and his hands were immediately tied, forcing us to keep disinterested players that we badly need to offload?

At this point I'm so done with PL football that I'd happy take a deduction if it meant a complete reset to this whole club. Just want to win a couple games.

Historically yes. But current will be us. Lots still throw our admin at us. Then no pts deduction.

Just be ready for.

Same Old Leicester

Always Cheating

That only gets sung at us when we’re winning, so I’d happily take a season of that.

Absolutely not!

But do we see Rudkin ever leaving as long as Top is in charge?

Leaving? No. Moved into a different role to make way for a new DoF? Possibly.

In that case, an embargo would be disastrous.

But I doubt that he will ever give up the DoF role. He knows he's lucked out. It is so far beyond his capabilities that he knows he would never get another role even remotely as responsible again.

Not going to lie, I hope we do. At least that way we'll be forced to make the most of some of our talented youth players coming through.

A few who understand the situation have said the EFL can’t give us a points deduction……

We won't get either.

Or, if we get an embargo at all it'll be a passive aggressive dig from the EFL and it'll happen immediately following relegation, something on the lines of "so NOW can we see your plan for improving your financial situation!?" and we'll sheepishly provide them some evidence of our books and they'll lift the embargo immediately. It'll just be a flex.

I doubt we'll get a points deduction to be honest. We sold Barnes, Maddison and KDH in the year we were in the EFL, massively reduced our wage bill and spent fairly little (adjusted for amortisation) in the summer and famously nothing in January.
