So I’ve gone 50:50 with my brother for about 10 years with a physical card, so what do we do next season? One of us goes to the majority of the games and the other 5? Seriously

Surely that isn't the only way

Just cancel your direct debit. Pretty sure there is 1 payment left this year then just cancel it.

Give him your log in details?

A screenshot works currently. It's only the  QR code you need to get in.

Can anyone confirm the premier league standards part with the digital tickets?

Guidance

The responsibility falls on each Club to ensure that any tickets it sells are to individuals registered with it. That is, the Home Club shall ensure that Home Tickets are sold only to registered individuals, and Visiting Clubs shall ensure that Away Tickets are sold only to registered individuals. The Rule shall apply to group bookings (for example, bookings by supporter groups or third-party agencies) but tickets issued to certain registered groups may be exempt (by way of example only, tickets issued to schools or a Club's foundation

R.17.

Each Home Club shall ensure that a minimum of 70% of all available Home Tickets for each League Match are issued as Digital Tickets.

Notwithstanding the minimum requirement set out above, Clubs are encouraged to ensure as many Home Tickets are issued as Digital Tickets as practicable.

R.18.

Each Home Club shall ensure that Away Tickets are, by default, made available to the Visiting Club as Digital Tickets.

The Home Club and Visiting Club should liaise and mutually agree the method of the issuance of Away tickets

R.19.

Each Home Club shall ensure that any transfer of Home Tickets which are Digital Tickets between individuals is conducted via the Club's official digital transfer mechanism. Each Home Club shall take all reasonable steps to ensure that the transfer of Home Tickets (which are not Digital Tickets) takes place with the Home Club's permission. For the avoidance of doubt, the registration requirements set out at Rule R.16, above, shall apply to any transferred Home Tickets.

R.20.

Not later than four weeks before the commencement of each Season, each Club shall send all Visiting Clubs a digital seating plan of the Seating Blocks within its Stadium referred to in Rule R.11.

Can’t be too dissimilar from international tournaments

You have an app, your own log in details and your tickets are uploaded to there

If you want to sell them on, you’re essentially selling your log in details rather than your ticket

I know I’m a bit of a saddo but I know I’m not alone. Making away tickets all digital takes away a big part of the experience. I’ve got hundreds of tickets from different away games over the years, something you can look back at and remember the special (and not so special) ones. Just another firm reminder that those at the top really don’t understand many of the things that people enjoy(ed) about football.

I'm a fellow saddo

Got every ticket stub from when I first started going down. I guess I'll have to keep a diary/journal in future to look back on.

So we have around 3 weeks to renew, they’re pushing this out quickly this season.

That's what I was trying to work out. 9th April deadline is earlier than usual, isn't it :dunno:

They are trying to create fomo in people and also do it before we are mathematically playing in a shit league for the next few years.

I am fairly sure seasons in the past it has been after end of season before they’ve announced renewals and prices, this one stinks, going from next Tuesday to 8th April.

Where is safe standing going as well? I never read club emails or texts just instantly delete them.

If he is over 65 he falls into exemptions if not time to get a phone I am afraid.

I’m not sure how it works for season tickets, I know individual match tickets get sent as an email and you add it to your wallet.
