There’s an awful lot of negative reviews of Danny Rohl coming out. 
 

Number one issue being his recruitment. Fans seem to think it’s the old players that have mainly kept them up the last 2 seasons and the signings he made haven’t been good enough and he’s eventually gone back to the old guard, who have got them the points. 

His latest rant claiming the players they’ve signed and retained aren’t good enough has hit some nerves, especially as he brought the majority of them. 
 

The problem I have with all of this, is it sounds exactly like Brendan. a great coach but the more control the more damage done and when things don’t work out, blame everyone but yourself. 
 

Take a close look and you’ll see the Wednesday fans won’t be too sad to see the back of him, which looks insane from the outside but I’ve learnt that the fans are more often than not, completely right.

The more I think about it the more I want Dyche.

 

The board needs to appreciate who and what we are at the moment. We don’t need to be flashy, we need to win games of football that will first of all get us promoted and then importantly keep us there.

Agreed. We need somebody to come in who sets a standard. Tbh, I’m not arsed about the style as long as the new manager creates a new culture at the club and gets us an identity that the fans can buy into. Dyche for me is the man.

If we'd appointed him in the first place before Everton did we wouldn't be in this mess. Everton getting Dyche and then Moyes has kept their heads above water. We appointed Dean Smith, Steve Cooper and Van Nistelrooy.

If Sheff Weds fans are whinging about Rohl, then more fool them. Don't be fooled by a microcosm of fans being 'right', and these days fans whine about any manager. Just look at the LCFC fans that didnt want Brendan to go.

I do think the fans should usually be listened to, and Rohl getting negative reviews from Wednesday fans ought to be a factor in our decision making. 

 

However, he is operating out of an absolute circus that makes us look well run. Chansiri has publicly undermined him, the relationship between manager and board is dead, the players weren't paid last month and they're still somehow nowhere near relegation. You could probably forgive him, from an outside perspective, for having mentally checked out and thinking about his next job.

Hasenhuttl is the saints' equivalent of Rodgers.  Keeping him for too long (even after a SECOND 9-0 hiding) was what kicked off the decline there.

 

And, like Rodgers (for now), he seems happy enough in the league where he is. 

 

There's no chance of him quitting Wolfsburg - a settled, stable Bundesliga club - for us.

He wouldn't be my first choice necessarily, but I'd have him over Dyche or Martin.

He was definitely among the most wanted alongside Moyes.

The only good thing RVN has done recently is speak about shaping for the future, bringing in the likes of Monga and Evans, while giving the likes of Thomas and McAteer game time, who lets be honest, will probably still be with us next season. 
 

We just need a better manager who will build on the “shaping for the future” aspect. 
 

Dyche isn’t that guy, Rohl has also relied more on experience, we just can’t fall into that trap again. 
 

We need to follow a Sunderland type model, and get someone in who operates similarly to their manager Regis Le Bris.
