But he wouldn't leave until proven in the PL so equates to your option. Any successful manager or player will leave us it's inevitable. A short term manager would be difficult to find that plays in the style of a progressive manager so we'd be back to having team of the wrong type of players.

winteriscoming Posted 23 April 2025 Posted 23 April 2025 Decent imo foreign managers who are readily available and we have a realistic chance of getting. Urs Fischer Quique Sanchez Flores Brian Priske Bo Svensson Mark Van Bommel I know I’m wasting my time because there’s not a chance we’ll go for these or that these clowns have any idea who they are. 1
Fazzer 7 Posted 23 April 2025 Posted 23 April 2025 Whoever it will be they'll be a bargain basement manager. What decent ambitious manager would come here with the clown Rudkin in charge and his understudy, Top.

Even if they did know who these guys were they are more used to working in moderately competent football club structures. Zero chance of that at the current King Power Comedy Show. My disdain for the ownership runs so deep I genuinely think Klopp and Pep would struggle at Leicester. Edited 23 April 2025 by Philkeavo

aklaxon Posted 23 April 2025 Posted 23 April 2025 An attempt to add some names from further afield: García Pimienta Just left Sevilla, but he's not the only manager in recent times who hasn't been able to get them back where they want to be. Made his name at Las Palmas, earned his badges at La Masia. Got Las Palmas promoted from the second tier, and kept them up. If you want to try and replicate what Maresca did with our bunch in the Championship, this guy is very similar. Las Palmas had the second highest possession stats in La Liga with him in charge. Subscribes to the rule - if you have the ball the opposition can't score. Has proven this strategy can be implemented with inferior players, but the "Gerrit forward" brigade probably won't enjoy it. 3
FoxesBraun Posted 23 April 2025 Posted 23 April 2025 Wouldn’t mind Farke if there’s any truth to this - although it is the Mail so probably bollocks
davieG Posted 23 April 2025 Posted 23 April 2025 Worth repeating Suggestions that City may hold off on sacking van Nistelrooy because of concerns over Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) for this financial year do not appear to stack up. City are close to the wire on PSR for this season, hence their January business being limited to one £3m signing, but waiting for the new financial year to sack van Nistelrooy would be leaving it too late. The accounting year runs to June 30. If City waited beyond that point to sack van Nistelrooy and appoint a new manager, they would be interrupting their pre-season preparations for the new Championship campaign. If City do want a new manager in the hotseat to lead what they hope will be a Championship promotion charge, then they will need to make a decision on van Nistelrooy before June 30, and so in this financial year.

It sound like Leeds are looking at how the previous six promoted teams have fared in the PL and have decided they'll need to be ruthless in order to survive. Good for them if so.

No thanks then. Reminds me of Rodgers and ‘death by football’. I’ll take your word for it but Spain is a different division to England. You can’t beat teams with possession football in England unless you have similar quality players, it’s as simple as that.

Good on them if they roll the dice and show some ambition - take note Mr Rudkin. Although imo if anyone is going to break the trend next year it’ll be Leeds with the current squad and financial backing they have, even with Farke Edited 23 April 2025 by FoxesBraun 1
Noahfence Posted 23 April 2025 Posted 23 April 2025 Has to be someone who’ll show faith in youth and im not talking about having a full 11 made up of academy players but consistently having some involved.

AjcW Posted 23 April 2025 Posted 23 April 2025 How does one become 'good friends' with John Rudkin?!?!?! Do they live near each other? Dyche is northants/leics isn't he? I know he spends a lot of time on nights out in Notts too.

It makes no sense anyway. You'd just stick him on Gardening leave if it was such an issue for the current period. 4

Rodgers generally kept about 55% of the ball. Definitely wasn't "death by football".
winteriscoming Posted 23 April 2025 Posted 23 April 2025 If we hired Farke for next season and he got us up we would give him a 5 year contract extension even though his record in the premiership is awful. That’s how clueless our owners are.
