Just shows how clueless they both are, both lazy we feck choices and demonstrates no joined up coherent strategy or thinking. But as we keep being told be careful what you wish for and we were in league one once, well guess what under these 2 absolute Jeffreys that is where we are heading back to. The club continually bemoans PSR stopping them from paying release fees for managers (Corberan etc) and then being a reason that Ruud hasn’t departed as yet but then conveniently forget that they wasted 10’s of millions of pounds on absolute dross like Ayew, Skipp, BDCR and Eduoard, I am sick of people defending this crowd, the evidence clearly shows based on CURRENT performance that none of these people residing over our club have the requisite skills to continue to be the key decision makers. 7

Just an assumption on my part re the choices, but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s true , there is clearly a disconnect in playing philosophy. 2

Iwebema Posted 27 April 2025 Posted 27 April 2025 Two Lineker recommendations. I felt like it would be Russell Martin months ago, and I still think it will be, but no one seems to know what's going on with us, communication even internally has broken down. Rangers fans would like Martin and I think he would be better suited to them. I have such an apathy towards whoever we appoint as they will have to operate under the clown show above them. If we are between Martin and Dyche, that would show you how clueless we are, 2 completely different managers who will want and need completely different things. The lack of any idea what we are doing couldn't be more evident 2

Thankfully it seems Happy Fox was just speculating… Edited 27 April 2025 by ClaphamFox 2
Happy Fox Posted 27 April 2025 Posted 27 April 2025 https://www.footballinsider247.com/russell-martin-sean-dyche-leicester-make-new-manager-plan-after-sack-decision/ You know Top would favour the passing, keep the ball playing style and Rudkin would love the clean sheets dour effective football… For the championship both styles do work but it’s the premier league where flexibility is required, and both Dyche and Martin imo are average in that department. But anyway If I had to choose between both it’s Dyche. Anyway whatever happens they need to get on it soon, so we aren’t floundering as last season pre season delay really messed up our season in some style.

Guest Bilo Posted 27 April 2025 Posted 27 April 2025 1 hour ago, FrankieADZ said: Martin and Rangers would go tbf, better chance to win things, European football as well Id say put your money on him going Rangers Yep. Guaranteed European football every year, the chance to be a big fish in a small pond, the likelihood that his style of football would pay dividends against inferior sides most weeks and, after a couple of years of plaudits for possession football and potentially a bit of silverware, adulation from a huge club's fanbase and the chance of a Premier League club thinking he's a quality manager and taking a punt. Less of a gamble than us where, even if he does get us promoted at the first attempt, he's likely to struggle again.
Langston Posted 27 April 2025 Posted 27 April 2025 Don’t quite think Rangers is the golden ticket it’s being made out to be, if anything I think he’d get the chop from there quicker than here.. Their squad isn’t good and his football has tendency to produce some gaffes and real hidings, their fan base won’t have patience with it given Celtic are pulling further and further ahead..
ClaphamFox Posted 27 April 2025 Posted 27 April 2025 I’m not religious and never pray, but I might make an exception in this case. God, please let this be true… 1 3

Happy Fox Posted 27 April 2025 Posted 27 April 2025 Lee Carsley not interested in managing in the championship he’s hardly getting a premier league gig , probably happy to keep on managing the England Under 21s..
winteriscoming Posted 27 April 2025 Posted 27 April 2025 I’m praying Martin and Dyche end up elsewhere. Why the fvck is Martin first choice? Only we could hire someone statistically worse than Ruud.
Tielemans63 Posted 27 April 2025 Posted 27 April 2025 When are we going to learn our lesson with Southampton rejects? It's absolutely laughable
nettle Posted 27 April 2025 Posted 27 April 2025 I wonder if Martin's agent etc are trying to force Leicester's hand a bit here. I reckon he wants the job and wants it now but obviously we won't sack Rvn for financial reasons so he's dropped the Rangers bit in to speed up Leicester decision. 2
JJD_LCFC Posted 27 April 2025 Posted 27 April 2025 This is a huge job for a manager. terrible board, low ability players who don’t care about the club. Fans attend without support. for this season Dyche should be our manager. We need to have standards put in place and he will do that, have the players playing for the club again and knows how to set teams up when / if promoted. 1
Claudio Fannieri Posted 27 April 2025 Posted 27 April 2025 Dyche’s football is horrific, turgid and more one dimensional than anything served up by Enzo. he would be on a par with Gary Megson in terms of style and you can forget blooding many academy prospects 2

God, please let this be true… I always thought Rangers would go for Martin - and he'd been keen to go (certainly prefer them to us). He's an ex-Rangers player (admittedly only 15 games on loan in 2018) and a Scotland International (29 caps). Rangers love ex-players. For him, the attraction of European football next season, must be better than our expectations for the Championship. 2
Happy Fox Posted 27 April 2025 Posted 27 April 2025 Sean Dyche to us is nailed on you would imagine, if Martin gets the Rangers gig. 1
RoboFox Posted 27 April 2025 Posted 27 April 2025 Why does our club have such a hard on for Southampton rejects? 1
