I've renewed because I've been following City through thick, thin and thinner for over 50 years.

Yes this has been a shitshow season and major changes are required but the renewing or not  is not a right or wrong scenario it's a personal choice!

If you've decided not to renew then that's fine as its your decision 👍

I am not abandoning my club cos it's in my blood and that's my choice!

I'd like to nominate this for - Passive Aggressive Post of the Season.

I am having an emotional wobble in not renewing because I really enjoyed The Championship last time. I also have the best seat imaginable. Row behind me pay £2300 more than I do for padded corporate seats. Will never get a ST in a better location again. All that said, I’ve made my mind up and not renewing.

I don't equate being a fan with actually attending anyway..

Until the Dutchman took over, I'm absolutely obsessed and immersed in the our outcomes of our games..And soon as he (and the likes of BdcR, Coady) leave, I'll re engage again. From my sofa, from my phone updates, from a pub, from a hooky stream and at 4/5 games a season, home or away..

I can wait for a bit til that lot have fcked off.. ideally with Whelan and Rudkin too (tho they get a slight pass as they've proved they can just fluke being business people....monkeys and shakespeare and all that)

Why? Nothing wrong at all with what he's posted and he's not hammered anyone?

No offence but why bother then?

Because I go with my disabled brother who still loves it and it’s our time together as I don’t get to see him as much these days. As shit as it is to watch I’ll always go as long as my brother does.

How is the team other than KDH, any different to the one that got promoted last season? Fatawu will be back, Bilal is as good as anything we had last year, Mavadidi, Winks,Vesty and Skipp (Under a new Manager)  will be good players at that level. Think Vards has run his race (One season contract, lower wages-he probably would turn down), Daka needs to go

Prompts the question, do we really want to be in the Premier League, all of the last six promoted teams have come straight back down the very next season. Statistically hard to argue against....obviously won't be easy, but can't rule it out with a proven Manager....

After watching the shower of shite that’s been put in front of us this season I don’t think the squad will bounce back as easy as we did last season. There’s no bite, the team is unlikeable but you never know. I just see next season being a whole different ball game than the last time we went down. I would also think the likes of Bilal won’t be here next season.

There is not one single part of my comment that is passive aggressive.

What part of personal choice are you struggling with?

I'd like to nominate your comment for the overtly sensitive reaction of the year!

How do you know there are still queues of people wanting to snap up season tickets.I think it’s fair to assume a lot who have been on the waiting list for some considerable time have become disillusioned and are no longer interested.Wouldn’t totally surprise me if they struggle to sell all season tickets.

The price of attending every game each season is now roughly around £800-£1000.

The price of a season ticket in a certain area of the ground. £350-£400.

There's a queue of people waiting to snap your ticket up.

I think it's because you say it's a personal choice but then the bit at the end could be misconstrued as: not renewing = abandoning your club.

I can't see any new season tickets for that price. £457 looks to be the cheapest. (Assuming you're talking adult prices)

I said 'I am not abandoning my club ' my personal choice, I'm stating that I'm continuing to support, my choice my decision having previously clearly stated that those choosing not to is fine as its their right and choice.

Anyone's making an issue out of my comment clearly are the ones with a problem not me.

You pay your money you make your choice!

Well I held my nerve and didn't renew. I'll go to a lot less games but will get a membership instead.  At least I'll make good use of sky sports as well now.

Maybe we need a final did you renew or not topic creating, to see how it looks now all is said and done. I'll find I was probably the only one not to renew in the end. ;-/

Nah can see there being quite a few not renewing, whether that’s because we’re shit or from a financial pov but the club will always sell out of season tickets. There will be a massive list of people chomping at the bit to get one.

Sad day for me to be honest. They have just confirmed my renewal cancellation… bitter sweet, but there is no chance of me parting with any hard earned money for that **nk stain to sp**k it on dross.

I ain’t going again whilst that fraud of a DoF is at our beloved Club (can’t even say the t**ts name)

Will be interesting to see... And how many of those become empty seats when we tank in the championship, realising the resell is useless as nobody will want to buy them. If that happens, I doubt we'll sell all of them at the end of next year, even if we somehow do this year.

You are part of the problem if you think that.

This response seems to have become a glib answer aimed at anyone who shows support for the club.

Agree. Being a fan has always been about how personally engaged you are rather than how much you attend and buy etc. Don’t see myself any less involved than most fans (up until this season) and I live on the other side of pond

ive personally checked out this season.  Even when we were in with a chance… something wasn’t resonating with me any more. I even find myself on this forum less. It used to be the first thing I open on my phone in the morning but I’m just so apathetic to it.

also the first season ive decided not to watch games by choice rather than having other things to do. I used to arrange my work schedule around games, get up at 2 am when I was in Asia … just wouldn’t be an option to not watch. the last few ive had it on live score alerts and that’s as much as I can bring myself to follow along.

For now.

Give it a couple of seasons in the Championship and I'm convinced there wouldn't be much of a waiting list for people to get one.

A lot less than a grand then.

Not really though is it. Saying that fans that are voting with their feet must have only supported the club since 2016 is truly pathetic and very narrow minded. The fact that people are willing to give their money to a club that clearly doesn't care about the fans and with the majority just going because they always have are the problem if there is a full house every week the club will never change. If you think there is nothing wrong with the club then that's your opinion. I honestly feel a slightly guilty for giving mine up but they have forced me to. The heart of the club has been ripped out slowly and it's painful to watch. But what is more painful is watching people clapping these pathetic players off the pitch week in week out.

You are right the season tickets will sell, however they will only sell 23k ISH, who is going to pick you the other tickets ?

There will be games next season where the attendance is less that 23k midweek against someone that doesn't travel well you will have some of the lowest attendances in years.
