Top Ambitions part isn’t a great message. It suggests the fault isn’t with him. The banner should be a clear critic and all of them and to be honest, most of all shithead in the chairman seat.

I donated based on the original message. Foxestalk is a great forum but we must recognise that many less engaged fans (that I still sadly believe are the majority) are not in the King Power out camp yet. 
 

As I posted yesterday Osvaldo deserves enormous credit and our gratitude for organising this but just a bit disappointed the message has been changed.

I understand the concerns that the original message could be construed as Top having ambition but I also agree with this point. It’s not a case of caring what the KPFC fanatics think, but just concerned about giving fuel to the fire where defending them is concerned.

 

Someone suggested ‘LCFC - Rotten from TOP to bottom’.

 

That didn’t seem to get a lot of traction but I liked it. It isn’t such a divisive message to get people jumping out in defence but also couldn’t be interpreted as anything other than criticism of the club at all level.

I am sorry Osvaldo but there is nothing that says King Power out is the most popular option.A lot are saying it’s the wrong option and a lot have clearly not voiced an opinion so I am not really sure how you draw that conclusion.

King Power out is not going to happen, a lot of fans still relate King Power with Vichai and the glory days and will react negatively in the ground making Top ( if he turns up) feeling vindicated and that this is just a tiny minority of loudmouths.

For these protests to gain traction we need more fans to join in, this will do the opposite sadly. There have been some great suggestions that effectively captures everyone to blame; the manager and players should not escape either so to be honest I think your message is the wrong choice

Personally I don't support the message "King Power Out"  for 3 reasons. I do support the original message though.

 

1. I think it will backfire and whip up a frenzy of media support from the majority of supporters who are loyal to KP due to the success of the club in the past. This will leave those protesting appearing as an irritable minority. 

2. I don't think KP selling and getting new owners guarantees the club will reach the same (or similar) success as it has in the past (in other words be careful what you wish for) or even guarantee that some of those underperforming in high positions leave. The new owners will want continuity until they establish the best way to run the club. 

3. The optimal solution is that for stability and as surety KP remain owners due to their knowledge and experience of the club but that they are encouraged though messaging to drastically change the club at the administration level in terms of  both the board and football department. The King Power Out message ignores this.

Perhaps "LCFC NOT KPFC - SINCE 1884"

 

Something that clearly denotes displeasure with the regime but also has a positive tone yet reminds the club that we existed long before Susan and co.

 

Either way personally I am very supportive of any action that highlights the gap between "them and us".

King Power Out does indeed send a message. Whether our fanbase explicitly want our owners to sell up or just want to see tangible change doesn't detract from a strong message needed.

 

I personally think this notion of King Power just making a few changes and all of the disconnect with our fanbase goes away is naive. There's potentially irreparable damage here and yet there's plenty of us torn on how we feel, stuck in the past because of the appreciation and admiration of how great this club once was and the part King Power played in that.

 

So whether they deserve to remain custodians and owners of this football club or not, I firmly believe the way this ownership and operation conduct themselves is not conducive with a sustainable and happy fanbase because it's not realistic that we're going to challenge the best clubs in the country as a baseline. So you need to do more and I've seen precious evidence of that over the last decade and why some of us aren't feeling the way we feel or saying the things we say because we're crap again and a strong waft of entitlement stings our path. Some fans aren't motivated purely by success, if we were we'd not have supported Leicester for decade after decade.

I can see why people are annoyed by changing the message halfway through, especially after what happened with the LED van, but hopefully everyone who disagrees can get a refund and perhaps fund their own campaigns.

 

King Power Out is a very uncomfortable and sensitive topic for many and I totally get that. I think the tutting around me is going to reach deafening levels when the plane flies over.

I hear a lot of people talk about giving Rudkin a new job title or someone in to help him, whilst the RL documentary seemed to focus far too much on the club simply communicating more. None of that will scratch the surface of solving our problems.

We need widespread, meaningful change at the club and sometimes you need to go to the extremities in order to cut through and force that change.

Great heartfelt message mate. Fully support the ultimate aims of campaign (a change of ownership) and I will not be requesting a refund. As I have said in other posts I am disappointed the message has changed because of the divisive reaction it may create in some quarters of the fanbase. I believe the campaign for change is going to be a long one and in the broad church that is the Leicester City fan base we do need bring a majority of fans with us.

It devalues the whole thing and immediately looks like some lone wolf with some cash to burn. 

 

It also doesn't generate meaningful conversation. It creates division. We already have that and look how far that's taken us.

 

There's also a fine line between personal attack and generic tosh.

✓ Associates Top with the problem in a way that will cause him personal embarrassment.

 

✓ Succinctly communicates the grievances with the structure of the senior team at the club, generating more thought and conversation within more casual fans

 

Look, I'm not necessarily against ruffling feathers. But it isn't the most effective route.

 

It would just go down as coming from an entitled and disgruntled minority, and Top would brush it off as such. We need to keep people on side here. Power in numbers.
