That won’t happen. As others have pointed out, banner that says ‘King Power Out’ is going to be hugely divisive among the fans. The majority probably won’t like it and many will respond by by expressing their support for Top on social media and in letters to the club etc, thereby creating the impression (within the club at least) that the protest is just the act of a tiny minority. This will just strengthen King Power’s position rather than weaken it, which is a shame as there is a lot to be angry about.

I get that the organisers have made a conscious choice to be bold and divisive and that is of course their prerogative. I just think it’s a missed opportunity to build a more powerful protest by expressing something that the majority can get behind.

This is my take. I'd be happy for King Power to sell up, but equally I'd take them still being here but with the right people running things.

I think the new message won't be as effective in forcing change, but I'm happy to back it if it means causing some unrest with the board.

Great stuff

Glad people have bought into this unlike the Rodgers Out one 2.5 years ago, where it was mainly met with nothing but abuse.

I don’t think we’d be in this position now had people gone for it.

Maybe people have learnt!

Top Ambitions part isn’t a great message. It suggests the fault isn’t with him. The banner should be a clear critic and all of them and to be honest, most of all shithead in the chairman seat.

Spot on 👏

I donated based on the original message. Foxestalk is a great forum but we must recognise that many less engaged fans (that I still sadly believe are the majority) are not in the King Power out camp yet.

As I posted yesterday Osvaldo deserves enormous credit and our gratitude for organising this but just a bit disappointed the message has been changed.

I understand the concerns that the original message could be construed as Top having ambition but I also agree with this point. It’s not a case of caring what the KPFC fanatics think, but just concerned about giving fuel to the fire where defending them is concerned.

Someone suggested ‘LCFC - Rotten from TOP to bottom’.

That didn’t seem to get a lot of traction but I liked it. It isn’t such a divisive message to get people jumping out in defence but also couldn’t be interpreted as anything other than criticism of the club at all level.

As you say, enormous credit to Osvaldo for pulling together though.

Personally I don't support the message "King Power Out"  for 3 reasons. I do support the original message though.

1. I think it will backfire and whip up a frenzy of media support from the majority of supporters who are loyal to KP due to the success of the club in the past. This will leave those protesting appearing as an irritable minority.

2. I don't think KP selling and getting new owners guarantees the club will reach the same (or similar) success as it has in the past (in other words be careful what you wish for) or even guarantee that some of those underperforming in high positions leave. The new owners will want continuity until they establish the best way to run the club.

3. The optimal solution is that for stability and as surety KP remain owners due to their knowledge and experience of the club but that they are encouraged though messaging to drastically change the club at the administration level in terms of  both the board and football department. The King Power Out message ignores this.

I think it probably caught a few of us out back then, and an air of disbelief but I'm totally fu$#ed off with it all at the minute, (who isn't) everything imaginable about our beloved club is just not good at all.

For the purpose of healthy discussion rather than my own opinion, is a half way house option worth considering?

Perhaps "LCFC NOT KPFC - SINCE 1884"

Something that clearly denotes displeasure with the regime but also has a positive tone yet reminds the club that we existed long before Susan and co.

Either way personally I am very supportive of any action that highlights the gap between "them and us".

I think everyone that's going to turn has already turned.

Those that havent are your typical mongies that you see all over the Facebook pages. The ones that worship the ground KP walk on and still clap the likes of Faes off at full time.

There will be no turning the brain dead like them.

Why don't you create a poll with the three options @ozvaldo

King power out

LCFC rotten from top to bottom

Premier/top ambitions, amateur decisions

It's only fair, then nobody can moan......

Morning all. Lovely day today.

As mentioned before, I’m more than happy to issue refunds to anyone who disagrees with 'King Power Out.' (I sanctioned one refund last night).

To be clear, 'King Power Out' is the majority-preferred route. As the only person handling this, decisions have to be made that not everyone will like—I get that some may feel offended, upset, or betrayed.

If you’re feeling an overwhelming sense of outrage over 'King Power Out' and donated based on an earlier message, you can message me on GoFundMe, and I’ll sort your refund. As I told the guy I refunded last night, this has moved fast, and it’s important to make sharp decisions based on where the conversation is heading—especially given we only have one message limited to 38 characters. No hard feelings at all if you request a refund. Unlike some, I won’t be sending OTT angry messages like the ones I’ve received from grown adults.

Yes, refunds will set us back slightly, but given the traction since confirming 'King Power Out,' I have no doubt we’ll hit the target soon. In fact, GoFundMe has just emailed me (see below) about sharing this fundraiser with the media—so either way, we’ll get there in no time.

To reiterate—I’m one person trying to organise this. I am not part of 'Project Reset' or any other spin-offs. My sole focus is getting the plane banner sorted. That said, I fully support any spin-offs that help push the message and am happy to chat with those leading them about future initiatives.

If you’re upset with what we’re doing and happy with a disillusioned Chairman/board, you’re more than welcome to write a love letter to Top/King Power/The Board or start your own movement after our plane flies by. No hard feelings—you can voice your love for King Power just as those of us who’ve had enough are voicing our views this way.

cheers

PS – Refunds via GoFundMe take between 3-7 business days.

King Power Out does indeed send a message. Whether our fanbase explicitly want our owners to sell up or just want to see tangible change doesn't detract from a strong message needed.

I personally think this notion of King Power just making a few changes and all of the disconnect with our fanbase goes away is naive. There's potentially irreparable damage here and yet there's plenty of us torn on how we feel, stuck in the past because of the appreciation and admiration of how great this club once was and the part King Power played in that.

So whether they deserve to remain custodians and owners of this football club or not, I firmly believe the way this ownership and operation conduct themselves is not conducive with a sustainable and happy fanbase because it's not realistic that we're going to challenge the best clubs in the country as a baseline. So you need to do more and I've seen precious evidence of that over the last decade and why some of us aren't feeling the way we feel or saying the things we say because we're crap again and a strong waft of entitlement stings our path. Some fans aren't motivated purely by success, if we were we'd not have supported Leicester for decade after decade.

KING POWER OUT

Very eloquently said @Ric Flair

Great heartfelt message mate. Fully support the ultimate aims of campaign (a change of ownership) and I will not be requesting a refund. As I have said in other posts I am disappointed the message has changed because of the divisive reaction it may create in some quarters of the fanbase. I believe the campaign for change is going to be a long one and in the broad church that is the Leicester City fan base we do need bring a majority of fans with us.

Well done again @ozvaldo 👏

Hahahah MOVED by the campaign!!! There are downsides of co-pilot doing all of your admin Asa.

Also how funny is the most recent donation coming from Lewis is GAY.

This message will obviously prompt a lot of twitter/sky sports/media/talksport backlash. Would suggest no one gets emotional, woke and/or snowflakey, just go with it.

Also the bloke's been pretty clear the message is KING POWER OUT so all these suggestions now are totally pointless. Might as well waste your time on this forum by throwing a few bombs in the general chat section rather than coming up with plane messages you know are not going to be used.
