Can we not be angry that Vardy is leaving because of the club's (Top and Rudkin's) incompetence?

Hes leaving because he’ll get a lot more money somewhere else and doesnt want a long hard season in the Championship when he can semi retire and earn a fortune.

He deserves it and as a club we need all the help we can financially.

It could be argued that their incompetence is why it happened now rather than a year ago which would've been more suitable.

I'll save it for if he joins somebody like Aston Villa and has the sort of impact that could've been had on this season. I'm saying this as somebody who is probably club critical in about 80% of my posts these days.

If we stayed up or had remotely competent owners he would still be here imo. Anyway it's the end of an era, and I am thankful for the good times.

Not to trivialise more serious things but it does feel a bit like a death in that every time you think of it - it still gets you.

It’ll take some time to come to terms with it, how lucky we are.

I totally get that.

The feeling this may gave when he was at his pomp is like no other player we'd ever had.

He really was fearless - there's so many memories - I remember him standing his ground with the Bolton centre half in 2014 / 2015 and the lad was at least a foot taller than him and built like a 2nd row.

He was the total figurehead for the club for such along time and there was always hope with him in the team for the majority of his time with us.

Just awful he had to play with such shitbags this season.

Was amazed numerous times thinking wow this is a Leicester player doing this.

Sad but all things come to an end. It will also be sad seeing him scoring goals  elsewhere, I think a lot of people will finally  realise it wasn't all down to him and his age as gets made out to be the case a lot of times when he hasn't been scoring.

I find the moment of the announcement rather peculiar. Why not wait until the season is over?

I mean – can we expect the team to play as one for the remaining five PL matches now, in honour of Vardy? Or will the slump, the indifference continue?

It's helpful timing to take the edge off the banner kerfuffle and all the attention on our boardroom issues but they couldn't drag it out much longer. He will want to go out on a high and fair few will want to say their own goodbyes at the remaining home games.

If this coincides with an extension for Daka, I'm done with this club.

It's truly the end of something incredibly special and we were privileged to have been along for the ride.

If you know you know how it feels - huge sense of loss

Find it so sad that this thread gets infected with so much crap directed at the club. There are tons of threads for your (justified, don't get me wrong) anger - please can we just celebrate the greatest player ever without having to resort to a competition to see who is most righteously angry?

This is not the day to be rattled, coerced and sensitive to the happy clappers. Please ignore and focus your attention on celebrating the greatest
