If this horrendous rumour turns into fact then the Club had better get ready to make yet another Managerial compensation pay out down the line. A stick on certainty.

This is my issue. It's just short term. He will get us out of the Championship then we will be back to where we are now again.

That’s wishful thinking, stick a 12 point plus deduction on 4th placed Southampton and they are lucky to make the playoffs

Have people missed the Mail Article? It's escalated from Football Insider unfortunately.

I know it's the mail but it's their chief sports writer & they are usually spot on with Leicester news.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-14734515/Ruud-van-Nistelrooy-leave-Leicester-relegation-Foxes-Premier-League.html

I saw it from the BBC personally, I don't read the Mail but it seems like both the BBC and Mail have copied Football Insider since nobody wants to reveal a source, the Mail doesn't even mention having a source.
Maybe there is inside info somewhere, are Football Insider legit? the website looks like a glorified blog.

I get that, but recon Martin far from means that’s certain.

No there is no garentee obviously but the style he plays has worked with us Southampton Burnley to name a few. He also has gone on impressive runs last year and got promoted. He showed he’s willing to put youngsters in and make them big part of team which we will need big time. So if your the owner he ticks all the boxes. They just want to get back asap

"14th best defence in the championship 2023/24, you'll never sing that!"

Southampton conceded more than Stoke and qpr last season!

Martin is proven to lose 4-1, 5-0, 3-2 and 2-0 he’s shit that’s all he as proven. Maybe no experience in the dull English game is a good thing in time, new ideas.

He’s lost heavy to Leicester yes but he did pretty well against the rest

No guarantees agreed

I'd unironically rather Sean Dyche.

But here is the better option to be closer to a guarantee.

Probably gets us back up (unless we get slapped with a sizeable points deduction), the concern is always going to be his inability to change things up if we do go back up.

Also, both times we slapped them I thought he came across as very deluded with regards to how they had played

I don't hate it, at least it will give us an identity again after this seasons tactics shambles of setting the team up and hoping for the best without any plan of how to compete.

PL & EFL sanctions depending, he will have the full summer to implement the style that got us promoted last time and the squad will be able to play it.

It's not easy on the eye for 90 mins, but it is effective and works in the championship and in all honestly I'd rather Enzo-ball style over anything I've witnessed this season.

The concern is (and will be for any manager we are able to attract, Dyche, O'Neil et al) what happens when we get back up as we know that the style of football does not work in the Premier League. Will he be able to adapt is methods to have any chance in avoiding relegation again?

However, that is a problem for another time as genuinely think now the top 17 of the premier league is now a closed shop and no-one in the championship will ever establish themselves in the league ever again due to PSR. We could have the best manager in the world and still not be able to complete in the Premier League due to financial regulations.

It also makes last summers appointment even more bizarre in that those in power clearly want to play in this method, where as Cooper never has and clearly can not.

A cluster mess-up of a season...

Makes no sense. Currently we are under investigation for PSR, so would we sack RVN, In fact we are likely to keep RVN, rather then Pay compensation. I think is a duff rumour( hoping)

Just the 12-3 scoreline across our 3 games against him

Can’t wait to see which of their crap players we go for

He could go for Harry Darling. Winks and Vesty will love RM!

They ****ing scraped promotion by the skin of their teeth despite being significantly better than 90% of the league and were on course to break Derby's "record" in the Prem while he was there.

They were closer to us then they were 7th. The lack of adaptability and his prem record is the main concern.

Would snap your arm off for Claude Puel right now. A man who plays possession football, has a fantastic eye for a player, doesn’t take any nonsense from players and has a clear identity.

If we can’t get a new DOF we need a manager/coach who can drive change despite the board incompetence.
