Clearly it’s a short term fix, in the hope that they secure promotion at the first attempt if its true.
If we did go up it would be similar story to what he done with Southampton except he had the luxury of spending about £100m

RVN has no real experience in English football and lost nearly all our games before we was confirmed relegated. I don’t trust him to actually give the youngsters a real go. Martin plays a style proven with decent players to work in championship and he’s proven at that level. If he gets us up that’s all we need right now. If you hate him at start of prem if we go up then fine call for his head

Might come as a shock to you but two managers can have a similar style and implement it differently, or to varying degrees of success.. Enzo's ceiling is higher than Martin's..

Which is precisely why I said "they are not like for like but Martin has more in common with Enzo than differences" ....

Both styles are awful, which is why Chelsea fans are sick of him already. Both Enzo and Russell want to dominate possession for the same reason, to try to convince the opponent to lose shape and press, it's boring, it's sideways, it's negative imo.

What’s happened for this to seem nailed on?

It could easily be a storm in a teacup, but the source seems to be Football Insider, and their "source" is..... "sources"
So we can only hope it's rubbish.

And I say rince and repeat, Southampton were very lucky to get promoted.

Does King Power get some sort of massive tax write-off the worse we perform?!

I’m genuinely struggling to fathom how so many bad decisions can be made.

Gerrard looks nailed on for Rangers

I think the short price is because Cisse said Gerrard couldn't attend his anniversary match for "professional reasons" so I assume that's an interview? either that or it's basically a done deal, but bookies suspended betting straight after Cisse said that so the price seems more on speculation than details, would make sense for Rangers to go for him over RM though.

Martin is proven to lose 4-1, 5-0, 3-2 and 2-0 he’s shit that’s all he as proven. Maybe no experience in the dull English game is a good thing in time, new ideas.

OK, as someone to potentially get us out of the championship, he's not a dreadful option. However, he will relegate us immediately if we got promoted and stuck with him. Also, I find him incredibly dislikable.

This is my issue. It's just short term. He will get us out of the Championship then we will be back to where we are now again.

I get that, but recon Martin far from means that’s certain.

There is a pattern at play

How can you feel worse each day as a Leicester fan in one week.

Vardys last game

points deduction

Martin favourite to take over

Tomorrow

Daka signs to 5 year deal and made captain

Have people missed the Mail Article? It's escalated from Football Insider unfortunately.

I know it's the mail but it's their chief sports writer & they are usually spot on with Leicester news.

Ruud van Nistelrooy is primed to leave Leicester City, with a deal to appoint Russell Martin set to be concluded in the coming days.

Mail Sport understands conversations with Martin have continued into this week and will be finalised imminently.

He will get us back up, but looks like another appointment that majority of fans aren’t happy about.

I think he is a better option than RVN for the championship, as he knows the league well and how to get promoted, but we likely could have done better if looked abroad on this occasion.

Ah well…
