... which of course includes this...

And apparently continues to serve as the distraction from this...

so the school is unfortunately a classic tactic, I believed., where military bases, or munitions, missiles are being stored under school and is perhaps the one advocate for troops on the ground, in this situation. .  Whilst no one in their right mind would agree with the purposeful targeting of a school , if you’re going to build a military target under/ in a school, you have to share some of the blame when it’s targeted.

do you know much about John Kyriakou? He’s the CIA whistleblower who blew the whistle on the CIA torture program during the Afghanistan war era. He shared a few intresting things…. Robert Maxwell was a Mossad spy, ghislain maxwell was his daughter, Epstein was Jewish and “ most likely” a Mossad spy. Gets people in uncompromising positions and collects the evidence. Trump becomes Israel’s attack dog. So this possibly more closely linked to Epstein than some people may realize!

Agreed, but the way I see it, no one has to pull the trigger in that case. Or, as you say, take shared responsibility when you do.

That second paragraph sounds wildly tinfoil hat tbh, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised about a lot or all of it being true.

Just add on that result, Kent also lost a reform councillor. A stronghold.

interesting 5 councillor by elections as it’s almost like 3 of them were in Phase 1 (Reform and Green scoring well) and then the other two in Phase 2 (return to traditional parties due to failures).

Let's be honest, reform can't go any higher in the polls that they have. The Tories can't get lower and I doubt labour can given how awful their press has been so far. Around a quarter of the country will vote for farage. That's nowhere near enough once we get closer to a real election.

No, my point is that Putin, Trump etc get well deserved pelters, but Modi seems to fly under the radar a bit more, despite having similar mentality and (like in this case) doing deals with the Russians.

Oh yea, I know. So Putin, Trump, anyone else, who is the etc?

The right wing vote will be split Reform/Restore/Tory, the Left wing Labour/Green, Lib dems in the middle don't get many votes so we're heading for a coalition at this rate. Years away though so all the polls are meaningless.

Well, actually Xi is the only other one of comparable power.

Not sure what the point being driven at is here though when the OP rather clearly made the point that Modi appears to draw less ire, perhaps undeservedly, than any of those three.

I don't hear much criticism of Xi TBH - do you think he does get justified criticism? Chinese society with their social score and punishments seems pretty dystopian in many ways to me.

Well, looking at it from purely a UK perspective, polled views of China are a fair bit more negative than they're positive, and open a lot of the major papers and a lot of what they print about China is similarly negative, so yeah, I'd say he comes in for a fair bit of criticism.

Still thinking India tends to cross such opinion less, even when they're buying oil by the tankerload from sanctioned nations, as they are now. If there is a point being made here, feel free to make it.

No point, just interested in who you think gets stick and doesn't. I feel like China and India are just on people's radar less, along with most of the world which doesn't even make the news a lot.

Fair enough. Perhaps language is an issue there, though that doesn't stop negative opinion of both Russia and China.

I do think that, among the bigger global players, folks do underestimate the amount of clout India have and how big a bastard Modi is.

You could target the school at night and not 9:40 in the morning

Then you likely wouldn’t get the military commanders that were in it?

please don’t  take this as agreeing with the action. Just explaining their logic. And like I said… possibly the only justified argument for troops on the ground..

He’s lucky in the sense of the time in history but Modi is similar to very early years Putin, where there’s an economic boom in India plus an increased sense of national identity (which he partly is responsible for). He’s a genuinely transformative politician even if he’s a shitebag.

That's kinda irrelevant when targeting an active school is a clear war crime, military commanders or no military commanders

not sure how long it will take the Americans to come clean on the school bombing.  The school was on the same site as an IRGC base,  there is some chat about it actually being part of the base until 2016 when that building was re purposed.  You’d assume that the intelligence was therefore outdated - I suppose the question then is whose intelligence were the Americans using.   I wonder if some of the target sites are AI generated ??

Saw a lot of stuff earlier in the week that the cia were responsible for the khamenei info that allowed him to be targeted

be interesting to see if the Americans refer to the origin of the outdated intelligence (if that’s their excuse)

And, of course, in the interest of staying relevant Farage is currently at Mar A Lago to kiss Felon#47's ring.

I’m not sure kissing Trump’s arse is much of a vote winner in this country at the moment.

no, but I think doing the absolute opposite, was a great move by starmer. Starmers issue isn’t winning over the right, he’s never going to do that, his issue is winning over the left. He needed to protect himself from some leadership challenges and be  seen as the ‘ beacon for the left’.

it’s amazing (and a little bit sad really) that something as simple as saying “ No” to Trump, can be so well received by your own party and those around you in your own political spectrum.
