Farage is so dangerous for the UK. 

 

If anyone (of any political persuasion) can't see that based on the last few months, let alone further beyond, they need their head checking. 

 

He's poisonous and hopefully his latest escapades (cosying up to Trump and constantly being thousands of miles away from Clacton) continue to show his true colours. 

 

His interests are solely in his self and self worth. Even those joining his party will find that out soon enough.

These are the kind of clowns advising Trump. The rest are sycophantic podcasters, youtubers, grifters and religious nutters. This is what happens when you fire senior military, intelligence and diplomatic officers who weren't blindly loyal yes men. All those people who would have advised against this, warned of the risks, retaliations are gone. Now there's no-one to de-escalate. 

 

Iran have been preparing and planning for this for decades. They've already taken out the US's bases in the region. They just have to survive, not win, and they know it. They know the damage they can do to the world economy by dragging this out.

Nothing screams ‘liberation’ more than your liberators raining toxic rain down on your capital city after destroying your petrol refinery’s. This whole charade makes it extremely likely Newsom will win in 2028 if he goes for it. He’s gonna have one hell of a mess to clean up (if we make it till then of course).

He's definitely positioning himself for it but can't admit anything yet. He has the story and the name recognition, but the main doubt around Newsom is if a California Governor, who looks like a film star and has elite connections will appeal to the 'flyover states' as much as someone else.

He's likely going to be against Vance so it won’t be hard for him to win. In fact the primary may be more difficult as there are a few decent democrat candidates that don’t have international attention yet, plus apparently Kamala fancies another run. Elite connections won’t actually be that important, domestic policy absolutely will be.

Starmer is too much of a coward, hence why he's done barely anything about the middle east. Wouldn't surprise if that warship at Portsmouth as been ready to go for months, but Starmer is delaying it in hope it won't be required.

It's not just about going in there bombing Iran, no leave that to Americans and Israeli's dig themselves into that mess but still have a duty to protect the nearby nations, one being Cyprus where UK base is present.

There are 3 full air squadrons at that base, a single Type 45 isn't going to make much difference.  There's massive defensive capability around there already.

Yes, but did Trump tell anyone in advance he was going to do this? No he didn't. He just expects everyone to just drop everything, stop what they're doing and join in immediately.

 

Even if we were all in to this war, we still wouldn't be ready because we weren't forewarned.

I doubt the Chinese govt will be particularly bothered. They’ll continue to call for the aggression to end on all sides. 

 

Got me thinking - what would happen if two British civilians were killed in Dubai or Qatar or Kuwait ?  presumably we’d just call in the Iranian ambassador and say we’re quite cross and would they please stop because it’s ‘just not cricket’ ???
