moore_94 Posted 11 July 2025 Author Posted 11 July 2025 Sounds like he was close to going on loan there in January - shame it didn't happen for whatever reason
Tuna Posted 11 July 2025 Posted 11 July 2025 Hopefully gets on better than the last midfielder we loaned to Scotland.

LCFCCKEANO Posted 19 July 2025 Posted 19 July 2025 Think he’s more likely to do well in Scotland, Braybrooke is to little for the way they play up there and I think would do better in a 6 role for a possession side in England

Height size and where he plays as well as his style of playing. You can get away with being smaller if you aren’t on the ball surrounded by players

AjcW Posted 23 July 2025 Posted 23 July 2025 I think there's probably a tonne of reasons it didn't work out for Braybrooke. Strength (again!) being one of them, we also sent him to a side with a manager who had spent the season making the strangest substitution decisions I think i've ever seen. Also, popping Henry up to Falkirk, sandwiched nicely between Edinburgh and Glasgow is likely to give him a nicer lifestyle/less chance of homesickness during his time there. Dundee is certainly more cut off and further up. It's little details with young loan players, I just think we got Sammy's completely wrong.

I think the biggest thing that backfired with Braybrooke was that Dundee were expecting to sell Lyall Cameron but a move never materialised. Looks like Cameron signed for Rangers on a free this summer after agreeing a pre-contract deal in Feb. 1

But even sub opportunities were minimal as we sent him to a gaffer who had made about 1 sub a game and when he does usually with a few minutes to go

Which is something you'd have hoped we'd have done our due diligence on before sending him. 1
LCFCJohn Posted 23 July 2025 Posted 23 July 2025 I do think we should move Braybrooke on for the sake of his career. He needs to find a home at a lower level and become established. Do what the big boys do and put a buy back in if he comes good but holding on to them and having them play kids football is stunting careers in the case of Braybrooke. It does seem to be something we are (forced by circumstances or by choice), looking to do better on but Sammy may well have missed the boat and been caught up by the next age down (Page and Cartwright). 1
Jazzy_Jeff Posted 23 July 2025 Posted 23 July 2025 I think he would benefit more from a year in the gym and training with our 1st team more than moving down the leagues
filbertway Posted 23 July 2025 Posted 23 July 2025 At 21 he's still in a baby in Leicester city terms. Generally you need a healthy pension pot, 3+ kids and a penchant for bird watching and rambling before you're considered old enough to warrant first team action.
