Wasn't sure whether to keep on eye on him with it being an obligation to buy loan Will do if people are just curious on how he gets on though Edited 1 September 2025 by moore_94 3

Unless it’s a straight obligation and there absolutely 0% chance he won’t sign for them in which case save your time!! 1
Harboro Posted 1 September 2025 Posted 1 September 2025 Newport’s manager seems to have a recent history of working in academy/youth football which hopefully bodes well for Braybrooke and Opoku’s development - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cpvk0ydk1rdo

RobHawk Posted 2 September 2025 Posted 2 September 2025 Good to see the younger guys out on loan, for me alves and braybrooke were the big 2. Getting then regular game time will be huge. I was hoping Briggs and cover would get a loan too. Anyone else we think should be out on loan this year? 1

Any of the below I would’ve preferred we got them out on loan Wanya Marcal Silko Thomas Michael Golding Brandon Cover Amani Richards Logan Briggs 3
ramadaone Posted 2 September 2025 Posted 2 September 2025 Across the various topics I think just about every decent u21 player has been put forward as to requiring to go out on loan with immediate effect Do people not realise we have u21 fixtures to furfill All very well pushing younger players up through the age groups to gain experience by playing at the next level IF they are ready Next thing would be people moaning about how poor the u21/u18/u16 results are if we let all the best u21's go out on loan
Merchant_Banker Posted 2 September 2025 Posted 2 September 2025 I don't think the performance of the U21 team is important. It's only purpose is to enable the players to develop to their maximum potential and if that can be done better on loan then they should be on loan. 4
Merchant_Banker Posted 2 September 2025 Posted 2 September 2025 Leicester City sign four and lose 16 as potential £79m earned in transfer window According to the Mercury Opoku's loan is until January while the others are all season, I wonder what the thinking is here. Is the club planning to bring him back into the team or send him out again at a higher level if he is doing well?

He hasn’t really played since April 2024 so I imagine it will be a bit of protection from both clubs in case he smashes it or really struggles 1

AjcW Posted 2 September 2025 Posted 2 September 2025 Newport one is an interesting choice. They've had a tough start and hired a manager who has only ever coached at Development level. Personally would have loved to see the lads at a Notts County, Grimsby or Bromley who impressed against Ipswich. Overall I think we really need to improve our loan network, i'm pleased they've gone together, just don't think they've gone to the right place.

moore_94 Posted 2 September 2025 Author Posted 2 September 2025 Might be too early for Alves to go straight in but Huddersfield play tonight in the EFL trophy against Newcastle U21s

scinnell Posted 2 September 2025 Posted 2 September 2025 Is the loan window still open at all? If so, when does it shut? Wanya, Thomas and Cover need to play regular football at their ages. 1
