He looked pretty rough in pre season. He is talented but probably had his confidence knocked by his loan not going the way everyone wanted it to and his injury.

A good loan in league one or two would do him well, if he stayed and played i fear that we have a number of fans waiting in the wings to pounce on him when he has his first bad game for us, similar to what happened to Nelson.

After a successful loan Nelson is better positioned to ride the criticism whereas with Baybrooke you would run the risk of completely destroying his confidence.

Id like to see what worse looks like when the current baseline is soumare and skipp. He deserves a chance on the bench as a minimum.

If Braybrooke is as good as what people on here have hyped him to be, why isn't he starting? He is 21! we aren't talking about a 16/17yr oid, Rooney had completed a third of his career by 21

I don’t think people are hyping Braybrooke up that much anymore. At one point yes but that ACL injury completely ruined his development.

I don’t think he’ll make it here now but would still like him to get an EFL loan

Monga shouldn't be used as a yard stick, or Rooney, they are freaks.

I'd be using Barnes and KDH as yard sticks for the likes of Braybrooke and Alves, both had decent loan spells at league one and the championship before breaking though at 21 and 22 into the first team.

Both Braybrooke and Alves have lost a fully year of development due to ACL

This is why even though I do think Braybrooke probably won’t make it here I’m reluctant to write him off.

Not everyone comes through at the same time. You mention KDH, he was fairly “old” when he got into the first team.

Agree with Monga. Hes a freak of nature and shouldn’t be used as a comparison

whose hyped him to be what??

The lads had a bad injury and is slowly getting back to it without the limelight.

Dundee didnt work out so LCFC need to think strategically about his next steps.

Dont write him off yet. He needs to bounce back from his injury.

As a CM he needs someone around him with a physical presence.

Re Braybrooke and Alves they both play in the most difficult playing position to break into the first team where they would be expected to have a major influence on controlling the game., Alves even spent most of his time on the wing at Cardiff and when he's managed to get into the 1st team

If we sell any more wingers, Alves will definitely get a chance on the wing won't he.....

did Wilson-Brown go off injured at half time?

They were 3-0 up at half time and changed to a back 4 from a back 5 so he was the one sacrificed it looks like

Cartwright is getting some great feedback here. And apparently adds steel to their midfield. He’s clearly doing well to hold his own amongst seasoned pros.

He was absolutely everywhere. Covered every blade of grass, won tackles and interceptions but also, extremely neat and tidy on the ball. Taking it in tight spaces confidently and moving it quickly. Very accomplished shift he put in
