Henry Cartwright was superb last week for Falkirk. Their fans seem to really like him.

I always thought he looked good when I saw him for the u21s. Decent engine on him and good on the ball.

Will probably end up leaving but I think he can have a good EFL career

What I mean is, he goes there and smashes it and we struggle in the position he plays. Basically like what we saw with Barnes in the 1st half of 2018/19. We were mingin' out wide and he was mustard whilst we struggled.

To be honest, Alves probably needs to gain some arrogance to force his way in here as he isn't going to get it handed to him like some do.

This is true. Look at Nelson as an example. Many seem to have written him off due to one poor 45 against Huddersfield. The same people will be piling on Monga the minute he has a poor game as well.

His best position. If they play him there most games he will shine.

his problem there is he's behind Mavididi who on paper is one of our best players and Monga is being used there, if Monga was backing up Abdul he'd have a clearer path into out team

Well at least if(when) monga leaves us, we might have a replacement ready made

Only issue he has playing on the wing is he lack real pace to beat a man on the outside.

No sure if he ends up at 10 long term.

Just watching the repeat of the Newport game.

Really not the game for Sammy, the game bypassed him. Struggled to see exactly what his role was other than taking corners

If it continues like that, it's gonna be a long year for him

I agree but when he actually got on the ball he looked good.

It's all about getting minutes.

Wilson-Brown has had a great start to his loan. Think he’s started every league game, played the full 90 a few times and usually gets at least an hour.

Swindon are second currently and their fans seem to be happy with him.

Part of me thinks Sammy has been sent on a loan that will challenge him physically and improve the defensive side of his game. His ability on the ball isn’t a problem, he reads the game well, I think playing in a side that will test his weaker points isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Ermmm... he's  a defencive midfielder mate.

10 is his best position and what he considers himself to be.

He's a deep lying play maker or regista, DM come in all shapes and sizes.

He's never going to be a physically dominant player, so he has to develop he's sense of being in the right place and the right time to intercept the ball.

Which is why this loan is going to teach him a lot.

He is an interesting one, he's out of contract in the summer. We we offer him a new one or is this just covering his wages and letting find a club.

Is he definitely out of contract? Thought he signed a new deal before he went out on loan. I’m probably remembering wrong.

He signed an 18 month one in January 2025 before going on loan to Kilmarnock.

In men's football he's not yet been able to show it. Doesn't get the same time and space centrally as he does out wide. At Cardiff he was much more dangerous out wide and yesterday came on LW and no surprise he's impacted the game.

Could be that he needs a few more years out wide before he's able to apply that in the congested part of the pitch, he's not the first ACM to be used out wide in his early years, Grealish was moved out wide and has sort of stayed there.

He sort of gives me Grealish vibes in his style.

I think it all about building confidence and getting strong physically.

Was coming on to post the comment from the Merc today on Tom

It looks like being a very promising loan season for the centre-back, who has started all of Swindon’s League Two matches so far, with five wins from seven putting them second in the table.

Playing in the centre or on the left of a back three, Wilson-Brown looks to be firmly in Ian Holloway’s plans and should mean he gets plenty of development under his belt.

It would be nice to see a future of Tom WB as LCB & Ben Nelson RCB

Looking at the Newport County forum they seem to like Braybrooke, was MOM for quite a few

When he was on the ball you could see his quality.

Agree with what others have said about Braybrooke's loan: You don't always send a player on loan somewhere because they play a specific style sometimes you send them there to develop certain elements of their game. We know Sammy has the talent and technical skillset. We need to know if he can compete in men's football, with less time on the ball, a more physical battle, and constant competition.

Hell, they could also have brought him in because he enables them to play through the midfield rather than just go over the top. Watch this space, I suppose...

So good to see Opoku get the goal and assist too by the way. He's had such a rough time since coming back to us from OHL.

Leicester City teenager 'immense' with Marti Cifuentes set for future boost
Teenager Jayden Joseph made his full debut for loan club Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday night and received plaudits for his attacking play as a right-sided wing-back

Leicester City wide-man Jayden Joseph is pushing for more minutes at loan club Tranmere Rovers after impressing on his first senior start.

After leaving City on a half-season loan last month, 19-year-old Joseph was brought into the starting line-up on Tuesday night as Tranmere played Nottingham Forest Under-21s in the EFL Trophy, with the League Two club triumphing on penalties following a 2-2 draw.

Joseph, who can play as a full-back or winger on both flanks, was operating as the right-sided wing-back and made a big impression, especially with Tranmere fans.

His pace and wing-play earned plenty of plaudits, with the teenager just lacking the final ball.

First-team coach Andy Parkinson said: “The young players that we’ve brought in, they’ve all got super strengths. They’ve come from bigger clubs, from Under-21s teams.

“We had pace on the flanks today. He (Joseph) did well. Being a winger myself, I can look at it and critique it a little bit. I thought at times he went into the final third well but it was just that last little bit that wasn’t quite there.”

Joseph has so far made two substitute appearances in League Two, but there are fans who want him in the 11 this weekend, when they host Newport County, the loan club of fellow City players Sammy Braybrooke and Nathan Opoku.

Manager Marti Cifuentes will be keeping a keen eye on his progress, having taken him to the pre-season camp in Austria to get a good look at his qualities.

Here’s what Tranmere fans said about Joseph on social media.

@tranmere_guy24: “Jayden Joseph was immense and deserves more minutes.”

@mikelee0710: “Jayden Joseph is a player, isn’t he? Can see him playing in the first team at Leicester.”

@TranmereCrohnie: “Joseph is a player.”

@RicciTRFC: “Jayden Joseph earned a start on Saturday.”

@DaveSparky2022: “He’s done well. I’d give him a start on Saturday.”

@KBizz1e: “Jayden Joseph giving Crosby some selection dilemmas.”
