I think he would be given more leeway if he did look to go down route of implementing the young players that were drummed down our throats in the summer.

Nelson has experience in this league and got what was it, 45 mins v Huddersfield. Wasn’t a great 45 but that’s it, out the squad.

Faes makes a blunder every week but it’s ok, go again.

Alves got the same 45, out on loan.

Skipp and Soumare (take a pick) have done nothing but looked like two fellas who have escaped from the infamous inbred family in the deep south of the USA. They’re still on the bench.

Okoli long gone. Aluko behind Thomas and Khristiansen. The former being given a 4 year contract and currently in negotiations for ten more years.

Thomas kept here despite championship interest and not given a chance.

i don’t think anyone thinks these guys will all be Monga good but they have some talent. I’m sure of it. In Nelson’s case he’s shown at this league at a club who gave us quite a game.

He currently is unaware of his starting 11, unable to motivate his players for 90 mins, being out thought by managers and to add to all of that, building absolutely **** all with players who will be gone by the end of the season.

Imagine if he went with the young ones a bit more. Starting or off the bench. We had a slow start but there’s the what if with a completely unproven manager / immediately a fan base get behind it. It’s hard but there is still reason,

We are currently having to get behind a floppy head twat whose mother/sister/wite/female alter ego repeatedly defending his mishaps, not to mention this is the same twat who had the audacity to cup his ears.

Yeah the squad is shit but he’s chosen to go into battle with the wrong players, he’s giving nothing to get behind. Style, build, results. Nothing.

He got praise for his subs early on but they were just fixing his selection mistake.  Now the subs are just that in reverse.

Crap manager, zero tactics and ideas.  Same players making the same mistakes with crapper tactics than RVN.

At the moment he is making Cooper look like Klopp.

Don't agree.

He's come into the club late with very little pre season.

He's brought in 2 players James/Ramsey that have cost barely anything,  that look 2 of our best players ( better when up to full fitness)

Lost Bilal a couple of games into the season , who was our most creative player.

He's had to play players that he's inherited and has had to get on with it.

He's not been brilliant but hasn't had long enough time and we're still 4th.

Cooper spunked 28+ million on Skipp,

and a carthorse from Palace that didn't play.

Also Ayew who's not great, cost 6-8 million and has no resale value.

There's really no comparison at this point

He’s out of his depth big time.

no identity or style of play

Continues to stick with this defence

his subs are awful

he hasn’t got plan a never mind b

I’ll be amazed if he’s still here come Xmas, it’s dreadful football and he’s unable to change it theres absolutely nothing there so flat. 2 away games coming up and let’s be honest we’re not going to win 1 of them! It’s going to get toxic very soon and we need to pull the trigger in the next few weeks and go and get Rohl before someone else does We’re 4th which is ridiculous how poor we’ve been but this time next week we will be midtable.

he’s a nice chap but a fraud he’s got to go!

A decent forward would certainly help him a lot,  have we got a forward coach? I can't help but think that's where a lot of play falls down.

You've got Carranza who doesn't look good at anything Daka runs around like a headless chicken and can't trap a bag of cement and then there's Ayew who thinks he's prime Ronaldo. Surely January we need someone else🤞🏻

The owner and DoF were that busy fingering each other they didn't sack a bloke who oversaw us not score a goal at home for four months. Cifuentes will absolutely be here until 2026 if we just plod along as we are

Yeah there is that mate 😂 plodding along with this team is madness I don’t think we will be up there for much longer.

Let’s be honest the 3 players should be good enough to get the odd goal in the championship, the blame has to lie with the manager.

They are meant to get the best out of the players

Quite rightly Marti made a massive song and dance about the Wrexham second half basically calling the players out, calling them arrogant. Good on you Marti.... We've been waiting for someone to call them out and give them some home truths...

Wait....

The absolute exact same thing, almost weirdly identical happens again against Portsmouth weeks later!

Maybe you're arrogant too Marti to think these clowns are going listen to you?

Action now please Marti - get that defence binned for a start.

This!

They've let him down last night but if this carries on then more fool him. If he doesn'r shake things up Tuesday night i'll be disappointed.

My mind is made up on Cifuentes, he's bang average.

Would he make sense if he was building a young squad around a nucleus of our best academy players such as Nelson, Aluko, Page, Monga etc? Yeah and you take the rough with the smooth over the short to medium term, step off the ideology we simply have to get promoted every time we're at this level.

Does he make sense going against the track record he supposedly had at other clubs of utilising the academy - despite this being our golden generation of academy talent? Not really no. It's just very workmanlike and middle of the road EFL guff. I don't see what the plan is? I'm not overly happy with a promotion shot with the same failed players who a chunk won't be here next season, even if we achieved it. Then what? Last season was hideous, I don't want to go back up like this.

I want us to rebuild properly at this level, but that probably required significant changes off the field in directorship and ownership to sign it off. We won't achieve the former either, so we wait to decline further and likely waste any last glimmer of hope that this club has from our academy as we ensconce ourselves in the lower leagues.

Life under Aiyawatt.

Conclusion, would not lose any sleep over Cifuentes going. Probably little point in getting rid right now but i've no burning affiliation with him. He'll barely register in my memory in later years i'm sure.

Exactly where I am. Just another manager not strong enough to really arrest the general tailspin of the club.

Go and get Rohl while we can.

All this Danny Rohl, Rohl of the dice.. what could possibly make people believe he would do a job? Is this what football has become, sack a manager if in the first few games they don’t get maximum points..

Sorry but I think people are clutching at straws

Can't believe people are calling for another manager already lol we have just gone through 2 now you want to change again ?

We are still 4th and only 5 points off the top.

We need to sign some players in Jan, maybe the sponsorship deal everyone is losing there minds over might allow that.

What do you expect the new manager to do differently ? apart from play the youth which Marti can still do.

Yes it's not great but Ipswich are 2nd in the form, 3 points more than us having spent 50 million in the summer and are below us after 11 games.

Having a manager thats been there a long time and everyone blows smoke up his arse despite finishing below a team that lost 9 consecutive home games without scoring.

It hasn't been great by us but he's inherited a shitshow.

I don't even think he needs to go too big on the changes to get a bit more slack. For me as is, if he can get faes out of the team for Nelson and get the likes of aluko, page and Evans on the bench, that's all it would take.

Let's look for a winner in games with players trying to prove something. Worst thing that happened this summer was Faes not finding another club, the sooner he goes the better.

Why would he better? Is this just change in hope? This is a disturbing direction for a club in need of taking a moment to recognise/adapt where we are, and we probably need a slice of boring for a season or two.

Would not even say we are having tough times, just extremely underwhelming , but even that compared to peoples suggestion we would be relegated is massively at odds.

The issue remains the mentality, and has been so for the last few managers. Is Marti strong enough to sort it? Guess we shall see, but I certainly don't want a manager when sit where we are, and it is far above most peoples expectations. Yes, we are irritating as hell in terms of consistency, and I would give him a season to sort it out, or....

I've not seen enough of Nelson to make a comment on him.

But would anyone say it'd be a good time to bring him in , against McBurnie on Tuesday night?

He's excellent in the air, of our 4 defenders i'd go Nelson, Vestergaard, Faes and Okoli when it comes to who is best in the air.

so we play our promising youth talent and then lose matches etc MC would still be getting called to go

sorry but some of our fan base would then flip the coin and say why isnt he playing the more experience players

cant have it both way, and MC is dammed if he does dammed if he doesnt

Simply not true. Maybe for some but not me. If I'd seen him taking some short term pain for long term gain, at this point, I'd back him and maybe even overlook some of the tactical / coaching flaws.

What positives is Cifuentes bringing to the table other than speaking well? I honestly think we'd be no worse under Van Nistelrooy, and he obviously had to go.

I think we've seen his hand. It's short termism and it's not even successful. Very poor.

Faes scores very badly for aerial. Saw a graph the other day showing it.

Quite funny is Coady bas been the worst CB in the division by a distance. Funny in a way but just another red flag from us.

Nelson bossed it in this league last year with Oxford, he had one cup game this year with us and had a bad game but hasn't been since.

I've said it before but I'd rather invest in him, have him making mistakes but learning, growing and becoming the future of this team

No, he hasn’t had any minutes for 2 months or so. It’d be disastrous to bring him in from the cold like that.

You’re bang on here mate! The QPR fans did warn us about this, he’s clearly out hiding depth and like you said he speaks well and comes across a nice guy but that don’t get you very far, He’s surely got to change it Tuesday night.

Would he be OK in ,what would be , quite a physical battle against McBurnie having not played a league game all season?
