Well we’ve seen players leave this environment and do well elsewhere.

Im not defending him lol. He’s been a car crash. Was just trying to give a balanced view.

Say what u see bro , do not defend shit play every week , that’s probably what his chairman or manager does ( and that’s why we are where we are . Our defence is a SHAMBLES , CAPITAL S a proper SHAMBLES .

It will really hurt when we get relegated but when u play like this ultimately it is deserved

He looks good on the ball. But his communication, awareness and heading really, really need improving.

He's young, so he'll have a really bad performance like today, it's just part of his development. It's more worrying that this season he's been part of a defence that concedes at least 2 goals a game and he rarely stands out. I don't care what he did at Oxford anymore, I care what he's doing right now. Even with the odd half-decent performance (that people blow out of proportion on here) it isn't good enough.

A shame the goalkeeper cannot communicate with his defenders.

How do you know? Why the **** would Nelson be head down in the turf if the keeper didn’t call. He wouldn’t, he’d be having a go at him.
No one’s prepared to admit that Nelson really isn’t all that. Defensive liability.

I’ve admitted it before in this thread if you check. I’m not convinced but it doesn’t help he plays next to an idiot and in front of an idiot.

Also I’ve just got out the ground so not seen the goals back.

My litmus test is "is this the exact kind of goal you expected us to concede twice a game when Danny Ward was between the sticks?" and the answer is yes

He's been shit today but he looked ok Tuesday night but in my opinion he needs an experienced player alongside him or decent keeper behind him. It looks like there's zero communication between the CBs and the keeper.

He won’t be allowed a way back by the fans now so will need to move on in the summer. Shame we will get f*** all for him given his contract situation….

Of course, he will. What a weird take.

Nelson is a modern day CB….looks good on the ball but seems to struggle with defending.

His contract situation winds me up but I think a lot of us (myself included) have bigged him up too much, likely in hope more than based on performances.

He’s the new Luke Thomas. Just look at the posts. People seem to struggle to think more widely than ‘playing badly = Anstey Nomads level’ and consider that it could be the environment for some of the players.

Will he? Think it's fairly clear people have opinions on him based on how the usual negative posters about him weren't making positive comments about him Tuesday night.

Academy experts? You mean playing in the championship last season?

Modern day centre back pretty much sums him up. He will look fine in a team that's dominant, like a lot of so called top ball playing centre backs. But like a lot of them, when you watch them have to defend they're a calamity.

I don't think he will reach anything like the heights some think he will. But I admit he doesn't deserve to be thrown into this situation to start his Leicester career and lead the backline. Having the joke Okoli next to you can't help. I'd be getting Lascelles and Vestergaard back in asap
