Keep doing what you do.

Incredible considering what you are often up against 💙

This is a decent snippet from the club's match report on the website, where it makes a point of mentioning Marti's pre-match walk around the stadium.

There was optimism around LE2 before kick-off. A hearty rendition of When You’re Smiling was a reminder of what this Club means to the Blue Army, who take that walk down Filbert Way, or indeed navigate the motorways up and down the country every weekend. Cifuentes was eager to thank them for their support too, taking a pre-match lap of the pitch to applaud all four corners before a ball was even kicked on his debut.

Big round of applause for the Shef Weds fans, proving its not all about some Reform Fascist or big bucks Oligarch who owns the team, but its all about the fans and players.

Another round of applause for LCFC fans when they forgot about the bullshit and got behind the team in the second half

Yeah WYS was great.

Usually drowned out by the opposition fans, as they had hardly anyone due to the protest, it did help acoustics wise.

Tbf no it's not. Opposition fans always going to sing, just as we do when we're away at a place with an anthem, but I've never felt WYS gets drowned out.

It depends on the club tbf, against Forest we got drowned out, but on Sunday it was the first time I felt the whole ground in unison actually chanted WYS which was good to see and long may it continue.

I do love the slow rendition and would be great to hear it at 90 mins like Liverpool do YNWA. Never been particularly keen on the sped up super speedy version that when you listen to people around you just can’t seem to get the words in the right order lol

Let's see how the atmosphere fares today, with less travelling fans than the last visit to Preston. The following today is around 3k, which is roughly 2.6k less than before. The support on that night in April last year was special.

The atmosphere was decent from their fans yesterday, but as always it feeds off the application of the players. Like in 2023/24, we're regarded as one of the scalps in this league. So the vast majority, if not every ground, will be similar to yesterday if subpar performances persist throughout the season.

Had a quick scan of the preston forum (i know), and apparantly they were surprised we'd sold so few tickets, and i quote leicester are  'shit fans' and apparantly after someone had visited our forum we're 'entitled'.

They did mention that the home atmosphere was the best for a long time, so i expect prestons atmosphere to be usually quiet like everywhere else.

Im with you on this. Our fan base is seriously divided. I have followed LCFC for 50 years and the nastiness from one group to another is disgusting. The entitlement is strong amongst them.

While the bit about "one group to another" is nonsense, I just read you telling another fan to "f**k off". Sad.

Saturday's game really highlighted the disconnect and fractured nature of our support, and the difference in connection between their fans and players on the day was stark.

Good support from their fans today.

Lets be honest most home grounds will have decent atmosphere this season when we play them. We are seen as a big scalp at this level so everyones up for it

Their away fans were superb when I saw them at Bristol City last week. Were very "lively" before and after the game outside the ground and never stopped singing for the 90 mins in the ground.

Of course they were they just got promoted. Into the meat of the season when they're losing most weeks they'll be back to silence and taking 1200 away from home like the rest of this league.

I suspect that you will be correct. In their honeymoon period at the moment.

Our atmosphere was better and more supportive atmosphere when our team had a bit of grit about them, too. It’s a style of football that reactive English crowds love.

Lot of Charlton comments about how shit our fans were.

Standard for us really. Big numbers, but no noise.

Our end was atrocious.  Silent for 95% of the game.  Presumably reflecting the overall malaise at the club, because genuinely I was surprised at how poor it was.
