Chanting Danny Ward’s name in the first half was mental.

What do you think fans meant by that? People have different views but my interpretation would be that he made a few mistakes yesterday so he was similar to Danny rather than wanting him back.. obviously some of the fan base are utter zombies anyways and all day I thought the atmosphere was strange. I have always said previously about fans backing the players but I’ve gave up on that now. Their overpaid, over inflated egos have destroyed this season and they are sticking two fingers up to the crowd every week.. Seeing people clap them off in the upper yesterday (granted it was few) but it’s starting to get on my tits.. how can you clap that? Because they had a good 15 mins and saved the season.. lifetime bans needed lol

The game is at the point where my own self respect would stop me from supporting millionaire athletes dressed as footballers.

So much to turn you away from the modern game, especially for a Leicester fan.

I think there's a huge amount of resentment built up in the fan base and so it doesn't take a huge amount for them to flip. Many have been pushed into apathy and then hatred of this team.

I think at times this has lead to noise from the stands which is ultimately more likely to have a detrimental effect on the team. Although it was shambolic to concede that early goal at home to Sheff Utd, I did think the reaction to it from the stands made the capitulation more likely rather than less. See also ironic cheers when Stol successfully makes a pass, or Ayew being booed on.

This hasn't happened every game though. I thought the fans for Norwich home were largely positive and even offered encouragement when we'd gone behind, to no effect.

The club is toxic at the moment and I don't see it improving any time soon.

its games like Norwich where the players were supported and continued to show no fight or determination that has developed the resentment and anger imo

It's a match made in heaven - lazy, embarrassing players doing stupid things every matchday, backed by lazy, embarrassing fans doing stupid things every matchday.

Yesterday was a new low. Though I must admit 'how shit must you be? We'll play you next year' was pretty funny.

One thing sticks in my mind from this game.

Patson Daka and some other no mark player having a pleb hold an umbrella for them outside the ground whilst they walked to the players entrance.

What the actual ****.

Apart from not being funny, what is wrong with any of that?

Just how contradictory it is mate, don’t have a problem with it as such.

Just one minute berating other fans for chants that don’t support the team to then doing it themselves in a matter of minutes lol

Word on Wednesday’s support. Not many clubs would still draw in a crowd of 24k and have an atmosphere like they did yesterday. The early goal set the tone for both sets of fans.

But I thought Daka was a Saint?

Saint Daka of Zambia!

Agree.  At one point all 3 of their stands were joining in at same time.

It was a weird one yesterday.   Pub was good, plenty of life, singing on walk to ground too.  I said to my daughter looks like it will be a good one today.....then very flat in the stands once they scored

just like on Friday at stoke... Stoke scored and the wednesday fans ignored it and carried on. they were immense when we scored and just ignored it. great set of fans.

I must have been stood near you. Awful end today after what have been an enjoyable last couple.

Had the potential to be great as well, but conceding in the first 2 minutes and the utterly hopeless effort levels immediately after that doesn’t help.

heard the exact same stuff (the ward chanting and we've got the ball) so unless you were both upper tier, left of the goal, it might well have been a substantial amount of the away end. End felt really nervy and resigned to relegation for pretty much the entire match, kinda natural in the position we're in but not what we need

I guess they don’t know how much longer they’ll have a club to support but going yesterday, just reinforces what a terrible guy Chansiri is. The shit he’s done to a club like that is horrendous.

Feels familiar too …

I found the Danny Ward chants an absolute disgrace if I’m honest. Not only was that man vilified by likely the same set of people whilst he was here, what does that do for the confidence of Stolarcyzk? It’s really poor. We have some really thick, fickle fans.

Seen half a scuffle in the concourse at half time and two blokes having heated words at the end of the game.

Was saying to the wife that if we'd lost yesterday I could envision fists flying with the expectation on the game. Seems there's been a few sparks already this season and when times are shit those away ends can feel like tinder boxes.

If we go down on the last day at Blackburn you'd expect it to get really, really nasty in our away end. (and Portsmouth too, tbh)

I'm sticking my nose in again but I'll say it again, it's far from just a Leicester City problem, it's a modern day football problem and it's getting worse not better. I'm no youngster, I'm 53 this year, but matters off the pitch are still as important to me as when I was going to the matches with groups of lads in the 80's and 90's every week. But for every fan like me who still thinks that our main job is turning up and making as much noise as you can, there are a hundred that say they want an atmosphere but don't really want anyone near them trying to create one.

I'm genuinely embarrassed about the support we get at Ewood and I'm not talking about the 1000's that have disappeared since the glory days. I'm talking about the ones that still go and sit there in silence every other week. Football is nothing without an atmosphere, you may as well stay at home and watch it on the telly. Our away support is passable on a good day, like when we beat you to stay up a couple of season's back, but in general there are too many going that are reactionary in their support rather than proactive, in the old days they'd be labelled sing when you're winning types.

You've touched on one of the issues that can't be emphasised too often ... and that is, over the last few years, as a fanbase, we've had the life sucked out of us.

We've had over-paid useless players on the field, incompetent owner and DOF off it, and a Club that can barely hide its contempt for its own fans.   On top of this we've had to watch the most stultifyingly boring slow sidewards and backwards football in living memory.   It's hardly surprising our morale is rock bottom.

But I don't agree that our fanbase is dead.  It's not "gone" as many posters have said.  I think "dormant" is more accurate.   But as we've had the life sicked out of us, we do need a spark to get us going.  Something from the team, that we can build on.   Going a goal down after 72 seconds to one of the worst teams in this division's history, isn't going to do it.

But the week before at home to Preston showed us what we can do, when they just give us something (ANYTHING) to get us going.  In the last 10 minutes the place was rocking, loud and buzzing, and absolutely behind the team from the whole ground.     "The patient is on life-support at the moment, but its still alive"   Just

I do think as a fanbase we are in a slightly more unique situation to others. To fall as far as we have, with no major changes, with the same people still working at the club is a real insult to the fans.

Plus the continued failure of a group of players that constantly let you down. It’s understandable to an extent why our fans are the way they are.

Even West Brom who are a massive club themselves, have rallied as a fanbase by taking huge numbers to Blackburn and will do at Preston because it’s a different context to us. As a fanbase, I just get the feeling people don’t have any fight left after these 4/5 years.

I can’t quite put my finger on it but yeah that was just a very strange experience as an awayday today. Maybe just a feeling my service is done now.

Cba with the "league one again ole ole" shite. People joking/laughing at that. We are on the verge of relegation to the third tier for only the second time in our entire history ffs. I feel like people would rather come out with "banter".

Only time I’ve ever seen all four sides of the ground do this with a poor Leicester team was losing 0-1 to Man Utd at Filbert St under Adams/Bassett. Don’t recall it happening at the ‘new’ stadium.
