Slot has lost the plot. Even if he doesn't care about this cup the team can't afford to continue this losing streak. He's getting the sack soon.

Another thing: Bayern is fielding tonight a full strength squad in the German Cup. Liverpool needs to find chemistry with all the new players and today's game was perfect for that. Slot messed up big time again.

There’s not a cat in hells chance he gets the sack this season

Not sure what sort of message it sends out when Liverpool have a player who is currently on day release from HMP Manchester  on their bench!

Liam Delap seems like an absolute helmet and not a very clever one to boot. Don't think I've seen him play without him acting the big man and basically just trying to hurt people

I’d be more surprised if there wasn’t a criminal playing for Liverpool tbf

Are you fishing or have you fallen for the original joke?

So you believe he can continue losing games with a £1.1 billion squad without being sacked. Sure.

No I don’t, but I don’t think they’ll continue losing games either.

They won the league last season with him. They’re not going to go down (like we were)

If this ‘patchy’ form of the whole season so far carries on for the rest, then yeh, he’s going to have to watch out come summer

I think he is

Someone was on about Rodgers replacing him in another thread.

Can’t get lower than that really can you?

I think he's very highly thought of and I think if you asked most neutral fans they'd all agree he's very good

Last season it was mainly still Klopp's team and in some kind of auto pilot.

Pattern for Liverpool they seem to have one good season and then to follow a bad season. What makes it worse this time around, this is the most they have spent in any window. I doubt Slot job is at any risk, I think the Liverpool board are more patient.

Chance of a defeat regardless of the team he put out so he puts a weaker one out and people talk about that.

I'm surprised, when needing a win so badly, he didn't go full strength. Especially considering it's a chance of a trophy.

It really does test a manager to get out of a rut. Winning things, winning every game, is not as challenging as when you're losing all the time. Be interesting to see how it goes.

I think it's a little harsh. It was mainly a Klopp team but people were talking in the summer of the "transition" and nobody predicted Liverpool to win the league let alone be cruising as they were so early.

Don't forget they've also lost Trent who was creative and scored goals too. His loss is bigger than some people thought.

Slot inherited a team which had a 100% chemistry and in his 1st season didn't change a single thing. This season he's going all in with the Dutch approach of football which never worked in PL and the examples of Dutch managers that failed here are dozens.

Trent left because he didn't want to work under Slot's management. This is the truth but media turned the Liverpool fans against Trent.

What's the Dutch approach?

Leaving both the LBs and RBs exposed, midfielders deliberately not tracking back and big focus on attack. The usual "entertaining" stuff the majority of Dutch managers tried in PL and failed.

On the contrary. Seeing Liverpool fail and slide away from dominance is very much entertaining!
