Add to it that we were by far the most marketable club outside the Top 6, had pretty sustained success yet were languishing behind most clubs in terms of sponsorship and other commercial income. The sporting element has a large chunk of chance attached to it (though the dismantling of what was good to cede power to the likes of Rodgers was madness) but the commercial failings on and off the pitch are an utter embarrassment.

the commercial team are ****ing useless. absolute chancers for years. i've a friend how worked at Hibs and it reminds me of how useless they were (and still seem to be)

Problem is as soon as we start winning again this all goes quiet. It’s got to be consistent.

Yep unfortunately. And if you say it after a win you'll get the regime apologists on here bashing you for 'moaning'.

I'm not getting another season ticket under this ownership. My hand has sort of been forced as I got banned a year ago for letting smoke bombs off at Palace (which I didn't actually do) so I went from the extreme of doing 90% of our games to none of them. I got out at the right time though because what I've really realised is that I just don't miss it. I still see people on matchday anyway, I'm perfectly happy just going into town and watching games in a pub. I actually prefer it at this point - and that's sad. I've realised how much it was force of habit and how little of it was due to enjoyment. I've not truly enjoyed our games probably since coming back from covid to be honest. I've just known something isn't right. I sensed this disconnect years ago.

But yeah - I'm not giving this lot any more money. I'd do away games to be fair but if I was unbanned tomorrow I'd not be going to home games.

Fair play !
The disconnect between the club and the fans is huge for me too and I feel very like that too, the care just isn’t there from the ownership, they can’t be bothered to say a few words now and again to connect with its fan base it literally is them and us.

I went last season but I just sat there bored listening to the same old songs, and they’re like the club & squad, stale !
I felt the disconnect a few years ago too but gave KP the benefit but I soon realised it’s not going to change.

We were in League 1 once guys

We also had Terry Shipman running the show at one time and selling everything we had but at least there was some “CARE” for the club.

Feels again a far off dream.

Personally i'd say it's the opposite.

Macquarie loans taken out without being reinvested, allotment of shares, Whelan departure.

All feels very much like take the money and run to me.

I might be completely wrong but I wouldn't be surprised to see us under new ownership, or at the very least shared ownership, by Christmas.

Top probably hopes if we get promoted he can then sell up with the premier league money guaranteed.
