Muzzy_no7 Posted 26 January Posted 26 January F***ing hell😂😂😂 Some on here think that Derek Mcinnes is gonna pass up a real opportunity to do something special while managing a club on the up to come here🤦♂️😂 3

Popular Post Angus Scott Posted 26 January Popular Post Posted 26 January Clement doing a great job at Norwich, you can see the great attitude & work rate that he has got out of the players, who lets face it were nailed on relegation when we beat them. If he were still available, I can just imagine the negative reaction if we were linked with him 5
Popular Post moore_94 Posted 26 January Popular Post Posted 26 January (edited) Doing Norwich well so far to go for a new manager who hadn't ever managed in the Championship and had some good experience in other countries But we wont ever bother touching anyone like that Bo Henriksen, Franck Haise etc. etc. Also, even though they paid for them, Hellberg and Matos have improved Middlesbrough and Swansea I really wish we would just be a little bit creative with our manager Edited 26 January by moore_94 8

Angus Scott Posted 26 January Posted 26 January Just now, Corky said: I think many would back him as a choice. They would now, but they wouldn't have done after he was sacked by Rangers. I'm afraid our fans are unrealistic, the club is a basket case & this is well known throughout football. Most managers won't come anywhere near us 1

Howe left Burnley to go back to Bournemouth to finish the job (like Pearson came back to us from Hull) and Silva made quite an impression at Hull in his short time there. Resigned at the end of his short contract and joined PL Watford. Haha, fair enough - terrible examples! Maybe I should have said Alex Ferguson at St Mirren I don't particularly want Rowett but friends who support both Oxford and Birmingham rated him. I liked him as a player for us as well, albeit he was only here briefly. I agree it's an underwhelming name but I feel like he'd be a pretty safe stabiliser, nowhere near as risky as most other names linked. And definitely an upgrade on Cifuentes...

Poznan34 Posted 26 January Posted 26 January We should try for Mark Robins as the closest current manager to Nigel Pearson

We've got enough shit like that now don't want any more thanks Rarely ever steps out to Europe for a signing. Seems to prefer tried and tested Premier League/Championship players. His signings at Derby - Curtis Davies, Andre Wisdom, Tom Huddlestone, Tom Lawrence and Cameron Jerome. Can’t get more Championship than that bunch On an interim basis with a few experienced leaders on loan coming through the door, it wouldn’t be that bad. But giving Rowett more than the end of the season, then having reigns of permanent signings, he’d replace Jordan Ayew with Tom Bradshaw. 2

He's better than where Norwich were.
Guest BlueApple Posted 26 January Posted 26 January Gary Rowett might be able to sort the defence out a bit but this squad don't have the ability to be pragmatic, as we've proved during every 2nd half this season. They don't have the ability to do much but I don't have the mental fortitude to watch Leicester failing to see out a 1-0 for the rest of the season, that's if we even get the 1. This bookies odds are unbelievably depressing, I hope there's some sort of Bielsa to Leeds miracle that occurs and we end up with someone like Adi Hütter but please for the love of god, not Martin
funkyrobot Posted 26 January Posted 26 January I can’t believe people are thinking Rowett- sacked by OXFORD Rowett - is actually a good idea. Wow. 4
Bourbon Fox Posted 26 January Posted 26 January The last manager we had that could pick up a squad and play to its strengths was Ranieri. I just want someone who will come in, mug off the tossers and keep it simple. 1
FoxinNotts Posted 26 January Posted 26 January Why are people on here suggesting names that are currently employed Not gonna happen 3

I get your points but... 1) Doubt it would be millions of compensation and the move is worth considering it given the potential impact. Surely we could do some creative accounting, do another Macquarie deal on the Faes money/sell someone else. 2) Much better medium term prospects/much bigger club
