I would be ok with Rowett or Hasenhuttl (it still shows how far we have fallen, for us to be happy about these names!!!). I do worry that if Rowett went to Blackburn, he would no doubt keep them up at our expense.

Rowett was 1/4 for the Blackburn job earlier today. He's now 7/4, with Michael O'Neill favourite at 2/5. It sounds like Rowett was dragging his heels over accepting the job so they moved on...

Blackburn switching from Rowett to Michael O'Neil.. could suggest Rowett is speaking with us/been offered it.. Or they are forcing his hand

Surely he isn't leaving NI before the play offs!

If it ends being Hasenhuutl I'd be reasonably happy with that looking at the other names. He would definitely be able manage at this level. I had a quick look at his management record and it doesn't look to bad.

It's just the 9-0 scar with him, though.

We are at a different level now look at the quality of our side at that point. We are pale imitation of that side and in my opinion he's a level above where we are now.

Where has the rumour come from for Hassenhuttl? I think he would turn us down tbh.

Dont get me wrong, I think he is the best we could do in our current situation. Someone with promotion experience (granted not needed here!! :D) and then multiple successful experiences of beating the drop - in both EPL and the Bundesliga. I see that Wolfsburg have dropped off a little since he has left.

Whoever it is, the club need to sort this out ASAP - which I am not holding out much hope that they will!!!

There’s talk of a job share.

Has he done that before or am I imagining things?

Blackburn moving on from Rowett according to Nixon.

Perhaps weve beefed up our interest all of a sudden.

Whoever comes will need to be a project manager. Stay up or go down, the team this time next year will have, at best, three or four of those who started in last night's debacle. That might actually be attractive to someone who looks at the current crop and, rightly, thinks they're too shit to save. Get the appalling wage bill down, get some money in for saleable assets, the points deduction done and dusted and some cheap, hungry young players in to replace the Ayew, Daka, Faes et al dross.

This is where Hassenhutl would fit. He's developed young players before, has little to no interest in big money signings and has contacts in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 where bargains may actually be found.

You might waflle on about Enzo this and that,  BUT he got us promoted and got some results. NO MANAGER since him has.

True got us promoted but not strong enough to spend a season in the premiership with us testing himself .... when you say results any outstanding ones ... after the first half of the season other teams worked him out ... the second half we struggled for results .... true no manager since has .... however take a look at those names ... hardly surprising is it

He’s only gone and Potter’d them. Cheeky bastard.

Poor Blackburn fans can expect Cooper to be announced instead tomorrow.

You could argue that he needed backing at that point in the January transfer window so he could adapt the team to different challenges.

Everyone else strengthened and we stayed the same.  Its little wonder the second half of the season went like it did.

It does surprise me a little that Enzo still gets a bad rap on here.  He is clearly a very good manager and there’s no way things would have gone south for us the way they have if he’d not gone to Chelsea.

ITKs are often saying that it's not that we're skint, but that the then looming points deduction meant we couldn't spend. With that now settled and our finances looking better since the last PSR window, as well as significant wages off the bill, could it be that we actually have money to spend in the summer? It'd make a difference.

Anyone looking at us and Blackburn picks us. Thats a no brainer

Managers will look at where they think they'll be at the end of a 3-4 year contract. It doesn't feel like it right now, but most managers would expect Leicester to be higher in the pyramid come 2030 than Blackburn.

Maybe that says more about Enzo than it does the club ... every manager will argue that they need more money to strengthen... for me personally I didn't enjoy his style of football ... and we will never know if things had of gone south or not ... he didn't hang around to prove himself

Not necessarily if we had some brains (unlikely I know) and only offered him a deal until the end of the season and Blackburn offered 2.
