Distinctly possible that Gracia might be considered, but if he resigned from Watford because of lack of support in the transfer market this January, I think he'll realise he's jumping from one sinking ship to another.

Which is why you hire him at 6pm on Monday on Transfer deadline day - 2/3 loan signings and wedge promised in the summer (whether that is true or not).

It’s such an obvious choice for Top and Rudkin. I don’t think it’s the right choice but an easy one.

I think we’d look 100% better if we actually tried this - even if the two up front were Daka and Ayew!

Just stick Daka up top with BDCR.

Gracia's career is ridiculous, been managing since 2007 and never managed more than 100 games for one club. Ultimate journeyman.

After reading the Watford observers article on Gracia’s departure, it seems he’d rather be in Spain with his family.

Also wasn’t happy with what the Pozzo’s presented him in the transfer market, he rejected three left-back options, one being Harry Amass.

Appoint Rowett, Pereira or Skubala (outside shot) on an 18-month contract with the remit of keeping us up next year and building a young, new hungry team next season full of youth products. This season is gone. 21st would be a good outcome.

Then the summer will see us need a new team. Begovic, Ricardo, Vestegaard, Daka, Ayew, Fatawu, Monga, Winks, Faes and El-Khannouss will all be gone at minimum. It presents an opportunity in that Vestegaard, Monga, El-Khannouss and Fatawu will bring in money and there will be huge wages off the books. The swamp will be drained in terms of playing staff at least.

Surely it’s got to be somebody who might be able to sort the defence out because you can’t win many matches conceding goals like this. MON is not playing exciting or flowing football at Celtic but has gone in and tightened them up, that’s what we need for now.

There is an argument that you also need a tight defence to win stuff as well.

It’s very rare that free flowing football ends up in glory come the end of the season.

We don't need anything pretty. Just someone who knows how to sort out a defence and make a team hard to beat. Grind out boring 0-0 draws and shithouse the odd 1-0 until we have a clear out and then rebuild with players who want to be here. Rowett might be that guy on a shortish contract. Vitor Pereira as well; he absolutely transformed that Wolves team, from one that looked as wretchedly inept as us to one that couldn't stop winning for a good few weeks, practically overnight. Yes, it all went tits up this season but how much of that was his fault? And if it all goes tits again, then it'll be less costly to get rid if he's only on an 18-month contract.

Bit weird really. Amass would have been great, and I know his heart doesn’t work on its own but Bove is an utterly insane championship signing lol

every thing we do seems to take an age, they waste precious time l, time after time.

Its because they are approaching Enzo, then Xabi Alonso, then Rodgers, then Potter, until we get to Martin.

Hoping its someone up and coming, Skubala sounds good.

He wants to escape the swamp. Not all of these sales will be voluntary, and I doubt Nelson will want to be here either.

If someone isn’t announced today then it’s a very real possibility, as we all feared, that King will still be in charge while the board twiddle their thumbs on the 16th Feb.

Why do you think Faes and Vestergaard will be gone? Still will have a year left and no one will sign them permanently.

Think Nelson is more likely to go then Monga, he only has 18 months left on his deal, we have Monga tied to a contract so for a buying team it’s less of a bargain to do the deal before he has had a couple of years playing than it would’ve been, could still leave but think we will keep him

Monga hasn’t signed a professional contract yet as not old enough so as I understand it he can leave and we will get the usual derisory compensation from the likes of Liverpool or Man City.

Might be wrong but thought he had committed to a contract to be signed when he is 18, thought that meant he was tied onto it

"After becoming the Championship's youngest scorer at the weekend, Leicester City teenager Jeremy Monga is being tracked by Barcelona and Real Madrid."

Yep he's gone. Imagine Barca, Madrid and PSG are after you and you decide to reject them and stay here. I'd build him a statue.

"The 16-year-old, who is already a regular in Leicester's under-18s side, has yet to sign a pro deal at the King Power Stadium.

The news has alerted a number of clubs to Choudhury's possible availability with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona all thought to be monitoring the midfield dynamo's situation."

You're right, but it'll kick in when he turns 17 in the summer.

He wouldn't be able to join any European clubs until he turned 18. The Fifa rule is you can't go abroad until then.

Before Brexit it was possible, as technically other EU countries weren't considered foreign.
