Quick summary from the game I watched:

Okoli- misplaced one pass horribly otherwise solid a vast improvement in defending.

Walkadog- Pedestrian! Every time the play breaks down he visibly shows he can’t be bothered to make an effort in running back towards our goal, Unless he’s playing these wonder passes he’s so famous for then what’s the point. (Threat from set pieces aside)

VK- Arguably Worse than what we’ve seen from LT this season, Seems to only know how to pass backwards also.

Riccy- Has way to much unearned credit in the bank on this forum, His levels of performance are sad to witness as he really is a favourite of mine but I think he’s fell into the can’t be bothered bin.

Winks- Gets involved until the going gets tough and then he checks out for the game. He should be ashamed of playing in the championship but at the minute he doesn’t even look good enough at this level.

Soumare - With the ball although at a snails pace he was strong and was looking to go forward when he could. Frustrating again as he has the ability to drive through teams but gets weighed down by his wage packet slowing him down

JJ- Could be argued that he looks the most “bothered” about the game he’s involved in which being on loan says a lot about the others, good enough for this level.

Mav- got in a couple of good positions, That’s it.

Fats- Is he amazing every single week? no, Does he keep trying to create amongst a group of uninterested blokes? Yes. Was also visibly upset after the game when speaking to Marti

JC- He has an intelligent brain some of the runs he was making first half but not being spotted by team mates, no fault on him not being heavily involved.

You've missed the bit about Soumare deflecting the ball into the strikers path with a half arsed lunge for the first goal, and Vesty not giving him a call either.

The only thing I can think re the clapping is clapping individuals - I always found it tough last season when Vardy came round clapping regardless of how he’d played - it was more of an appreciation for what he’d done

Clapping for a few of these I can sort of understand but I also think it’s a terrible look when you consider the abject performances being served up week after week

He is one of the few i like but agree, hes a one trick pony and i think he could be much more.  Looking for the far post curler almost every time.  Predictable.  A couple of worldies every few months is not enough

A one trick pony - get a grip! Have you missed his skill and tricks that gets him past 2 players with ease at times! Even today, having a poor game, he still managed to do that lovely bit of skill where he knocks it with his right foot with just enough to out pace the defender and he has the pace to get to it. As the Leicester comms said, the Blackburn players knew what he was going to do but still could not stop him.

We were crying 2 months ago that he was off to Everton. Just enjoy him while we can. All he needs is a good coach- have we got one?

I voted international break... though it doesn't matter... still have same upper management and same players... manager won't change outcome more than 1 or 2 positions

I stand by what i said.  Hes clearly skillful but 9 times out of 10 he wants that curler.  Rarely an end product other than that.

I have said I think he can be much much more and you've alluded to that by saying he needs a good coach.  Id agree there.  I think he can add a lot to his game

This is Blackburn by the way who have been run into the ground under the Venkys. They're one of the most miserable clubs in England - in a less than half full stadium with an atmosphere of an U21 game.

And they're better than us. And they started from nowhere near as strong a position as us.

What does that tell you about us?

I can see why now Wolves fans gave alot of stick to their own players. Similar to us, the players dont give a muck. Least the wolves players spoke to the fans.

Whilst these frauds run down the tunnel to count their money.

A good manager would have force them into training tomorrow and run them to the ground. Remind Ayew that is paid to be footballer as well. Plus fail to get anything against Middlesbrough then force them to do a fans forum and let them face the music for a change.

Clear as day these players are being treated like royalty within the club, you can see Marti hugging and consoling them like they are being bullied at school. Yet they take massive wages and parade around in exuberant surroundings with their every whim and need taken care of. They need to spend time in the real world, appreciating what real hardship is, not protected from it cos they can't be arsed to put in a little effort to show they care. It's simply the worst excuse of a football club from management to players I've ever seen in my time of supporting them. Simply a ghost of the past, that refuses to see the present or the future. Until they do, we're f**ked.

This made me chuckle. He does play like he's got his wages in cash in the back pocket of his jeans

You are correct, On that incident I’m happy with soumare’s decision to try and intercept the cross, if he wasn’t carrying his weeks wages down his shorts he would of got there making clean contact 😁.! Unless Vesty gave him a shout and in that case I still don’t blame in trying to keep vesty away from defensive duties.

He played an absolutely delicious through ball to Carranza from that position in the first five minutes today. Shaped to come inside then stabbed a beautifully weighted ball into the space inside the box.

I want to see more of that, never seen it from him. It was encouraging.

Turgid strikers

Weak, timid midfield

Unconvincing back four

No tactics

Little desire

No clue

No team

Hardly any effort

No leadership on and off the pitch
No identification figures

No money (allegedly)

A selection of players that are either overpaid, lacklustre or not up to speed (with a few exceptions)

Extremely dodgy shirt sponsor

Highly questionable ownership

Well, let's look at the bright side. Wherever that may be.

Yeah but be careful what you wish for!

Playing this system has been totally pointless having a striker on the pitch.

Just have another midfielder (attacking)

But anyway , this is us going forward...

Fatawu only goes 1 way, cuts in edge of box (opposition easily deal with, as u can see him lining up)

Monga does a couple of step overs

Mavididi looks for Soumare (back on the half way line)

Our no 9 don't get service,  so how the hell are they gonna get a chance,  this had been like this for 2 years +

😭😭

It just sums up the teams effort and intelligence.

We managed to turn a totally harmless situation into conceding a goal.

I'm not sure who's to blame, if he gave a call but Vesty clears without Soumare’s intervention.

I thought we might be in trouble when I saw the subs together warming up before the match. I thought who’s there that can change a match? Then I saw them smiling and giggling and thought back to my playing days albeit senior league, if I was made a sub I had a face like a smacked arse and I was inwardly seething, desperate to get on and show that t**t of a manager how wrong he was. But they’re comfortable with it, and that’s not right.

This is the biggest problem at the club.

The players don't actually want to play and are happier not to be on the pitch

We don't have anyone in the squad we can turn to

Many say turn to the youngsters, but the rotten cores in the squad are too many and just throwing one or two youth players into this toxic cess pit will not be beneficial to their development. And replacing all the rotten cores and relying on the youth well it would be a whole team of kids in a real battlefield league

He’s not a one trick pony. He will add more to his game, and will over time calm down as he matures. Such a shame that some of us want to moan about him. He’ll get fed up with us and move onto to bigger and better things. I for one will still get excited when he rips opposition defenders apart .

Worst performance of the season, Radio Leicester said lack luster

I watched the first half but had to leave at half time to go to a gig in London so listened to the second half in the car on Talksport. The commentator used the word atrocious to describe one period of play and he was almost laughing at how bad we were. Described us as Sunday League.

I'm genuinely intrigued to understand the mind set of the people that clapped at the end today? Is there anyone on here who will admit it?

I can only assume they do it because they've always done it and its like a tradition because nobody could actually come away from that stadium saying they enjoyed that game or they thought the players played well enough to deserve recognition.

I can understand why some people choose not to boo but surely the alternative is to just walk out of the stadium. Why do some feel the need to praise a blatant lack of effort?

Never get this attitude. It’s how some people are used to supporting their club, it’s habitual I imagine.

Perhaps it’s even generationally ingrained.  :dunno:

What attitude don't you get? You don't get why large sections of our supporters have had enough and are getting to the point where the team is just not supportable? I get the whole "through the good times and the bad" and most supporters can accept not being in the prem and can accept winning, losing or drawing but the vast majority cannot accept the basic lack of effort from many of these players. They are the highest paid players in the league and many of them are not giving 100% and that is completely unacceptable. They do not deserve any applause or praise if they cannot even try to out run, and out fight the opposition. Blackburns 1st goal yesterday summed it up. Soumare half hearted as always gives a goal away because he didn't commit to the interception and just set the goal up. That's not a mistake that's basic lack of effort which is completely unforgivable.
