I can't believe this is still rumbling on. This is a non issue and to be honest....the club have made a rod for their own back.  The next time we are losing and having a meltdown, guess what people will sing!

Rightly or wrongly....this will crop up again and if anything probably get more people behind it.

The level of it is not on the level of some other stuff I've heard at football grounds....I'm surprised the club acknowledged it.

Back in the day I remember going to a spurs game with some mates and it was when they were playing Portsmouth. Some of the stuff directed at Sol Campbell was horrific.....the ceiling is very high on this sort of stuff.

Good point , the people singing it I doubt care one bit what the club say and will be over the moon they finally got a reaction from the club.

They now know this is the only way the club listen because they’ve not communicated for so long.

Wrong on all fronts but is what happens when you loose communication with the fans.

I can't remember the club releasing statements when opposition fans have been saying things about helicopter crashes !

Doesn't suprise me the bloke accusing hate crimes and racism whilst suggesting police involvement is a so called member of the fan advisory board. Whilst everyone is entitled to their own opinion, him accusing people that are pointing out the club has created this situation for themselves of fueling the "hate" is just wrong. 90% of this forum would be under police investigation based on his words.

As LoxM posted 14 hours ago....

But why on earth is the focus even on the statement... The whole reason there was a statement is because some fans were literally chanting about a bloke dying and being cut up from head to toe. Hows that somehow become the side issue? The conversation shouldn’t be about whether the clubs PR was dubious.. it should be about how grim those chants actually were. I dont even know who Graeme is or what he does, I’ve got no dog in this fight other than saying those chants were just grim. And all this “but” this, “but” that stuff just ends up feeling like a justification of the chanting.

Rightly or Wrongly, yes i do think the chant about rudkin could meet a threshold of hate speech...I dont necessarily agree with that because I personally dont actually think there is a credible 'threat' to his life... but it could definitely be perceived that way by the authorities im sure.. Thats the point Graeme was making.

Loud, coordinated chants for Rudkin out and new owners, loudly and incessantly are what is needed.

Theres no need for threats to someones life, it is totally out of order and alienates others from joining in with the protest.

Wouldnt be opposed to whoever chanted it getting banned because no one will miss members of the watch 10 mins of the game, do lines in the toilets and chuck beer about in the concourse "fans" anyway

They likely thought the statement will galvanise the KPFC fans and cause a bit of factional infighting that would shame the KP Out fans into being quiet for a little while but I highly doubt its going to go that way, KPFC fans numbers are dwindling day by day.

Yeah it will be interesting to see what happens if/when someone chanting against King Power/Rudkin gets physically assaulted again by a KPFC footsoldier. There's a precedent now from the fan groups that signed the statement and the club, so to "act with integrity" they'd need to come out again with another one surely.

Why are you assuming that those who disagreed with the chants, and the potential for that to be perceived as racist, don’t like chants about King Power out?

You can be very much against the absolute shambles our club has become in the last 5 years, completely disagree with the clubs laughable statement about acting with integrating while condemning chants which could be perceived to have racist undertones.

Because it doesn't have racist undertones. People suggesting that are looking for a reasons to stop the chant because it's the first time I've heard loud and clear Aiyawatt/King Power Out chants. Everything up to this point has been anti-Rudkin.

If he was from Coalville but preferred to spend all of his time sitting on his fat arse playing Polo there instead of doing his job I'd still sing that chant.

Indeed !
It’s got a long awaited reaction but this epitomises everything about where we are as a club !
is it right ? no of course not, but when a football clubs whole structure is right from top to bottom, on and off the pitch none of this nonsense would happen. (Look at Sunderland)

The disconnect between the club and its fans is massive and so unavoidable.

We’re a club in free fall, it’s crumbling before our very eyes and 1 man has created this very poor culture all on his own and in the meantime he jets off once again to play on his horse. It’s a joke !

Welcome to LCFC in 2025

and if the bloke on WYS is a representative of the Fans advisory board and is representing the whole fan base to the board then the disconnect between the club and the fans will continue to grow.

There’s no point in a FAB if they are just there to represent the club. It was really poor from him and in comparison to the conversation on BSLB, showed the FAB and its members to have little to no ability of critical thinking.

The news about chanting for Aiyawatt/King Power out ! is a step in the right direction and I didn’t know that was being sung

Was this loud and across a lot of our fans ? Or just a few singing it ?

"Sell the club and **** off home" was sung very loudly in the spell between their goal and Bobby Reid's equaliser.

I’m not and never have said that everyone singing it is being racist.

If you read my post, I said in the current political climate it’s easy to see why it could be perceived to be racist.

To add a bit more to that, don’t forget we have had Tommy Robinson stop the boat stickers at away games. Why choose to sing that and not something that says we want KP out without the slightest concern that it could be perceived in another way?

I didn't say you did.

The person who was being interviewed on the When You're Smiling podcast did though.

I love how it becomes a racist thing if an owner of a football club from a different nationality is driving your football club into the ground and our fans feel their rightly entitled to voice their opinion against them but they can’t because the easy get out is the R word to deter anyone to voice an opinion against them.

Facts are facts.

It’s not racist whatsoever he’s doing an appalling job !

And what do you want me to do about that? 😂
