None of us know what happens behind closed doors. Grown adults creating storylines in their head as if it's Hollyoaks lol

Top's only action after putting the club up for sale should be appointing external auditors to do a root and branch review of what's gone wrong off and on the pitch and get rid of the dross.

An external review? Shouldn't we wait for the internal one first?

Nigel speaking highly of her is very telling.

Whilst not without faults, clearly 99% is on Aiyawatt and Rudkin.

Hence more than likely why partly why she left, due to the way they communicated or not-so-communicated/worked themselves, with the other part with a new betting sponsorship deal she wasn't happy with approved by higher up (the latter was apparently a big reason).

The real breakdown came post the first relegation season when Rudkin lied his way through the post season review. She lasted two years beyond with 6 months on notice. It's really not that long in the grand scheme of things. And she most definitely resigned rather than being pushed.

And FWIW she still cares a lot for the club and watches every game. Which is more than can be said for Top.

Listen, I'm not looking for a row with you. And reading between the lines, but sounds as if you know a little about her.

I don't suspect malintent from her. But she was either a puppet CEO or a real CEO.  Meaning she either administered catastrophic on and off field performance for the first options or was responsible for it if the second. Neither reflects well on her professionally.

Not many provable facts in there

"rumoured to have been sidelined"

"no, she didn’t have constraints on leaving"  -  "she happily watched with little control over the “product”, signing off on restrictive minor influences, all while she was negotiating her exit - You know this how?

Because IF some are arguing that the ceo is NOT fully responsible for the state of the business she was the most senior corporate individual, it means they are arguing she didn’t have control!

It’s one or the other and for a “seasoned” ceo to stay in that position for any of those two reasons gives you your reasons.

Why are we making excuses for any of them is the bigger question

If Top had listened to her im fairly certain we wouldn't be in this mess. I agree that doesn't reflect well on her ability to get a message across but I think thats worth highlighting. There's only so many times you can point out the failings of the football department without being listened to.

And FWIW I think she'd probably agree she made mistakes and stayed too long.

Go find me 2 ceos apart from Whelan who stays in position when their thoughts are not listened to. Just two. Any business from £50m - £250m

and when you find them, get their reasons - I can guarantee you it wasn’t because they loved the shareholders or wanted best for the business. It will be so they could squeeze the pay out. This is how it works at that level.

I'll say this again, as i'm not sure you understand this....she resigned. If she wanted money she'd still be here waiting for a payoff.

She has gone, maybe she thought she’d give in one more chance but the incompetence of last year was the final straw. She’s made errors which I’m sure she’d acknowledge but if some idiot at the club is signing crap players on high contracts and loosing valuable ones for free, does she have the power to remove him. Rudkin is clearly toxic, the kind of toxicity that needs eradication.

If you believe she walked out on the job after serving 3 months notice, receiving a bunch of flowers with senior management giving a speech on her last day, then the discussion is not worth it.

In an attempt to cut through some conjecture here... She's on record defending a 116% wages to turnover ratio; specifically saying that the "associated budgets for 2022/23 were entirely reasonable".

At best, she was part of a team who agreed to gamble in order to be "best of the rest" and we're still feeling the affects of decisions she was involved in making. IMO she was overdue leaving; the only saving grace is that she actually left unlike the other barnacles who've then grown in influence.

This is the problem the rest have stayed and been emboldened. I don’t see how anyone can look at Rudkin and say he’s been a success in any way. We don’t learn, even now we are bringing in players on transfer deadline day that don’t have a place or impact in the team, it’s insanity.,

Wonder if she'll have her say, eventually.

Far to loyal to King Power

Plus some strong NDA’s

She knows literally everything about “the family”

Fantastic and highly regarded businesswoman

She got out before the carnage started.

Top chose JR over her

The rest is history

She didn't agree with the overspend by Top or Jr to appease Rogers.

Also She was tired of all the travelling. Flying back and forth to Thailand every week or so.

She's now gone on to bigger and better job.  Good luck to her.
