Well done Kimi Antonelli and finally Hamilton gets that podium for Ferrari .

Impressive drives from a few others maybe unexpected points scorers .

But on the flip side others will be shaking their head wondering what went wrong .

Good drives by Antonelli, Bearman and Unc Hamilton today. The Ferrari fight for third was fun.

Quali has sucked but two pretty watchable races so far. The reliability issues have been both good and bad - a bit more unpredictable than the past few years when they had stagnant engines but engine failures triggering vsc/safety car has nerfed the strategy in both races so far which is a shame with the second half of the race being just managing a very long hard tire stint.

There will be convergence at some point when teams start using data from the tests and these two races but typical first year of a new ruleset so far. Building F1 cars is really hard.

These cars really seem to suit Lewis' driving style compared to previous generations, he's really showing great racecraft so far in the 3 races we've had, I think most fans expected he'd lost his edge and Leclerc was now the faster driver, the first 3 races beg t to differ.

Seems there is actually racing craft involved with overtakes this year, when and where to use power etc rather than solely relying on DRS

Yep, in previous years it would take 3-4 laps to get close enough for the DRS to work, most tracks even with DRS you needed to be within 0.3-0.4s to have a chance of an overtake, so you could be within DRS for 3 laps before you could strike, Yesterday we saw George overtake Lewis when he was 0.9s behind him at the start of the straight.

It does create a bit of a "yoyo" effect where one car uses his battery, the other lets the pass happen and simply takes him straight back, but i'd rather that than past seasons where we've seen cars not be able to overtake for 10 laps despite being within DRS.

The Chinese love it don’t they, much better than the sterile Middle East and American races. Needs more south East Asian and European races, less money chasing.

IIRC I think it was the pre race b-roll that F1 play during the build up (i've slept since then) but one of the clips shown was what looked like the crowd for one of the pre race shows they have on stage with presenters in one of the fan zones, the crowd looked like a world cup final at hyde park, it seemed to go on forever.

I did chuckle also, there are multiple "water points" around the circuit for fans to fill up their water bottles for free, and all of them had signs on them "Must be the cold water" and "Must be the hot water"

Yup, Thailand have a category race circuit too now. Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, China, maybe even throw in a second race in either Japan or China as both have lots of decent circuits.

With Toyota increasingly flirting with coming back, I can definitely see Fuji back on the calendar in the future

Have very nostalgic memories of waking up early as a youngster to watch the Malaysian GP, would love to see it again.

Always enjoyed Turkey but can see why that wouldn’t work as an alternative this year.

Thought Portugal was decent during the COVID seasons, think that’s back next year isn’t it?

Other than that it’s a travesty there’s nothing in either France or Germany nowadays. Would think Aldi and Merc would want a German race.

Big reduction in speed around the circuit it seems .

Slower in the corners and faster down the straights is what this 'formula' is about...

More drivers bashing the regs and you’ve got F1 posting the onboard of the pole lap on socials and it suddenly cuts to an offboard before 130R 😂 Flagged by users on Twitter and followed up with a lie from F1 about technical issues with the camera despite the full onboard being available on F1TV. Maybe it’ll die down but i can’t remember any new changes ever being as hated as these

I keep saying it but stop the clipping at full throttle/top speed and it would be much more palletable. It would cut out the huge losses in laptime if you get it wrong and clip too much on the straights.

Seems to be a particular issue in qualifying.

Even Leclerc was having problems today and said so afterwards.

I think Russell is worried about the Kimi threat now.

Maybe McLaren will be in the mix too but Norris still has a few problems.
