I think he could be a decent player, in fairness I feel in some games he maybe tries a bit too hard, which can make him look greedy and shit, but I understand with some of the crap that surrounds him. He probably needs a good manager, his attitude is probably a bit of a question mark but he will go on to be a lot more successful than we will.

As mentioned before, on his day he is very good. Some of his goals have been genuine worldies. But he could be superb. Sadly, a little bit predictable and other teams have managed him accordingly.

His output has not matched his hype this season so if we can cash in then it is right to do so. Also, a lot of pressure on him to perform. At the beginning of the season, we had McAteer in the wings (pun intended) to replace him. Not saying McAteer was better, or a consistent performer, but reliable and could rest Fatawu and give teams something different to think about.

Hopefully Fatawu can find the right move for his career and become the best version of himself… and move to a big club (where we can benefit from the sell on fee!).

Most importantly, how much do we need to sell him to make even a smidge of profit?

he’s two years into five year deal. Fee of £15m
anything above £9m is profit on the three year psr running loss calcs.

We’re going to take such a hit on our players aren’t we?

Fire-sale at the King Power just to pay for Jannik and co’s PL wages in League One.

Realistically, we’ll make a small profit on Abdul and couple of others.

Nelson and Monga will make us a few million each too won’t they?

We’ll do well to get £15 million for him.

If he goes for that, that’s the same fee that League One Birmingham paid for Stansfield. 🤯

Was horrified when he appeared to be injured last night - his sale will fund our rebuild!

Is there much pull from the Saudi league with the area in its current predicament?

His sale will help towards our debts. Our rebuild will consist of frees, loans and academy lads

A quid for Nelson is a profit !

The club will make statements that’s no one needs to be sold.  Trying to make it look like we’re not desperate.

but buying clubs and agents aren’t stupid,  and we’ll play the game until it’s too late, the new coach won’t know what he’s got to work with and we’ll end up keeping players we could have got rid of. And then we’ll screw up financially again.  It’s a repetitive scenario every summer.

Yeah but it works well so why bother changing??

We need him to have a good World Cup, which he will, because he will want to get a decent move. He sacked us off a while ago I think, can’t really blame him, his whole personality just fell off a cliff.

I think he will end up hair a decent World Cup and we can sell him for a half decent fee.

However, this won’t be enough, the sale of players won’t be enough. We still need Top to inject money int the club to keep us alive.

I think you could get around £23m for him this summer. Personally, I would rather take around 20m if they can get a sell on clause of at least 15% for him.

Are you mental? Who is going to pay £23m for him? £10 is what we will likely get, £15m as an absolute max.

I’ve heard that we’re looking to loan with an option to buy, that’s probably the only way we will get a decent figure if he goes on to have a good season elsewhere at a higher level first.

There will be a good few of those loans with options - the option part is the only way someone will agree to take on all their wages knowing it’s a win win for them - 1 season of wages and if the player performs they pick them up for decent rate but if they fail they can get them easily off the wage bill and send back - I can see that deal happening for

I’d go on to say I would have a wager we don’t get cold hard cash for anyone this summer - we are in sh’t street and everyone knows it - they will offer peanuts but our idiots in charge will want and expect top $ - will probably end with 10 loans out as above in last 48hrs of the window

Well considering Fatawu still has £9m on the books I can assure you we will get more than £10m. £15m will be the starting point and at the price he will have many suitors and potentially a bidding war.

So no sir, far from “mental”.

There won't be a bidding war. We'll accept a particular price and that'll be it. We'll probably look to recoup the original fee and I think there'll be takers at that price.

Ipswich will definitely fancy him.

We are a league one club and clubs know what mess we are in. Will be lucky to get 5-7M for him

Am I being silly but in League One and changes to PSR (whatever the new rules are called) is amortisation still a thing?

We probably can't sell him for that little.

That won't cover his book value and loyalty bonus combined. If that's all we could get for him we'd loan him out.

But he'll go for north of 10/12 I'd imagine. It definitely won't represent his true value but it won't be quite that low.

We probably won't get more than that for Nelson, though.
