I try to console myself with this as KPFC failing as LCFC disappeared before our very blinkered eyes from the moment KP owned us.

They may have brought unprecedented success but it's been at the loss of LCFC

The alienating of the fans, for sure they've maintained a good relationship with the wider community ironically so much better than they have with the match going fans.

It started within weeks as the Walkers Stadium became the KP Stadium and any nods to our history were replaced by everything KP

You'll find Leicester City Football Club hidden behind the two big screens

As I posted on the Remembering when LCFC moved.......

"The thing with Filbert St you knew instantly it was the home of Leicester City Football Club as for KP well.................. it could be anyone's"

It's the reason why I hope it doesn't take too long for us to 'reach the bottom', now it's clear that Top will never do the simple things that could reunite the club.

Maybe 'the bottom' is second tier stagnation, prompting KP to sell up because they see that things are never going to get any better, nor the club any cheaper to keep afloat. Maybe it's calling administrators and a consortium with money to burn bailing us out. Or maybe it's the extinction of the current club, and rebirth as a different one which is seen as the successor.

Any of those would give us a Leicester which is 'ours' to unite behind, and have some enthusiasm for. Even if it's looking up from the ninth or tenth tier. And if that's where we're headed, I hope it doesn't take too long to reach that critical moment.

We must agree to differ. I honestly do not believe that any number of fans or any amount of marching will have any effect on a man who's doesn't spent a lot of time in England and is to pround to admit defeat.

This is my view with respect to you jayfox and your many valid posts.

You may be right, but i just dont think its right that any of our fans should sit back and just allow the club to burn. Maybe protests wont make him sell the club, but if every single fan keeps buying tickets and turning up clapping, that certainly wont help make any changes at the club. It is also worth noting that after every protest, Top has come out and either done an interview or announced board changes. I dont think that's coincidence, so I believe he is aware of the discontent amongst fans and I believe he is aware of the protests. As I said earlier, how long could someone continue running a club if 20k plus people were hounding him out every match?

Reading those threads bought back some memories of really good posters on FT that you no longer see.

Makes you wonder what happened to the likes of Thracian

IIRC @Thracian banished himself from the forum after being piled on for some homophobic comments he made on here. Think he refused to back down and has not been seen since.

Argh Thanks for that … I completely missed that drama… shame as he and some other posters on those threads have completely disappeared and made some great contributions

Never thought I would say it bit beginning to wonder if winning the league was actually worse in the long run. People will say you take winning the prem for what follows and largely I agreed, but now you have to think whether its all worth it.

Its a complete shitshow at the club and something which is meant to take your mind off everyday life adds more stress and misery. And this is even more elevated considering where we once were

There will be people who say its only a game, but for others and I include myself in that it was one of the few nice things in life I enjoyed. Now even that is gone

"We've won the Premier League by mistake."

Feel sorry for the people going to lose their jobs through  no fault of their own if /when relegated. Despise the players, Top,Rudkin  etc for causing it through their incompetence. ***** the lot of them.

The rules are designed to stop owners doing what yours have. The problem is that they didn't keep to the rules and used technicalities to get away with it, just kicking the can down the road but making it seem like a win when getting away with it temporarily.

Why are you still here?   I don't remember you hanging around when we were winning the league and the FA cup and playing in Europe.

Bring patronised by Cov fans is as low as it gets.

Agree. Would willingly welcome back @hfaes than having to read the patronising thoughts of @Sky Blues.

Nail on head pal 👏🏼 look at last week so many posts on social media defending the ownership and condemning the protests. At what stage do these people wake up and realise what is happening. This isn’t just a relegation to league 1 that will be a jolly for 12 months, our club is on life support at the moment and a relegation means that machine will be switched off.

Admin and possible liquidation is not out of the question, not withstanding the countless hard working people who will lose their jobs and the damage it will do to the local economy in general. The club is saddled with debt and massive costs anyone who cannot understand that losing the best part of £200m over 3 years in any business environment is going to end up in deep financial 💩 if you cannot recognise this then you are delusional.

All correct.

And as far as the fan base is concerned, the defenders of the regime are culpable, not those calling for change. It didn’t start off with hate for Aiyawatt and personal attack etc.

Due to their refusal to accept there are issues and hold the club/Aiyawatt accountable even without demanding he sell and go, they have allowed this to go un-addressed and escalate to the point of the toxicity we now see.

Patronising?  I had more faith than just about any of your supporters for your game today. That's more to do with football knowledge than someone like yourself doing fake comments like a so called influencer.

its unclear how the system is supposed to work in our case.

If we go down and incur further huge losses, our owners continue to fund those losses, we fail PSR again by a huge margin and are punished with more points deductions, which send us down again.... PSR then literally kills the club which has owners willing and able to fund it fully.

Its mental, and I don't see how it can be legal.  Rules which force a death spiral of a business and club.

Why’s it only happening to one club then?

Weird.

Anyway. Still here?

You're about to get promoted.  And then relegated.  This is what counts as the glory days for cov.  Sod off back to your own forum and enjoy it.

When Birmingham and Wrexham were in league  1, they invested millions into the club, without any restrictions, because as I understand it owner can do that in league 1, but this is restricted in the championship and PL. I’m not saying Top will do that, but they could look for other sources of investment. Either way the club needs to cut costs as well as wages, for the long term development  and good of the club.

They can’t do this anymore. They’ve significantly tightened the rules, because of them.

Easy way of keeping an eye on Ipswich, but also your club that half my family supports.

Thanks for getting the point for both sides 👍

refuse to call it the king power stadium because it feels disconnected from Leicester City as its some sort of separate entity
