If RM was our manager last season we ain’t in league one this season either.

Maybe you're right, but we don't know do we. That's why Rangers got rid - they were heading in one direction only. Perhaps that would have been the same with us under RM.

If you are looking to appoint a manager, you surely look beyond someone who is on a downward spiral, don't you? Just because he tries to play Pepball isn't a reason to hire him.

And here lies the problem with our fanbase

No it's not. It won't work. A couple of defeats or crap results and the fans will be on his back. We don't need that. Even the KPFC lot of Facebook think it's an appalling choice.

You could be absolutely bang on mate 😂 I can remember last summer when folk was buzzing about Marti look how that turned out! If RM was our manager last season we ain’t in league one this season either. Who would you want out of that horrible list the bookies have got?

Martin couldn't win a game at rangers. What makes you think he would of done better than Marti?

Marti was absolutely awful he has no clear way of playing football. No style of play no tactics no plan a or b 😂 our players would have played RM Ball which would have suited a lot of them. The Southampton players loved him as well. I know he got sacked there in the prem but let’s face it how many managers get there teams promoted to the prem and get sacked!

I agree with you but it seems out that list of managers we’ve been linked with he’s surely the best one ?

we will have a clear style of football.

we will dominate possession.

give him the right players and he will be fine in this league.

What's RM's plan b? To throw his own players under the bus and blame them when things go wrong like he did at Southampton - I bet they really felt supported by his comments.

You keep quoting this and I'm intrigued as to where the money is coming from to get these 'right players'

RM has never proven he can do it with the right players. He was bloody lucky to get promoted with Southampton.

Any manager is going to have to be pragmatic with our players.

That's Ben the issue hasn't it.  He's not getting players to suit his system.  There's to many 1 dimensional managers out there.

Everyone says play the Pep way, yet he evolved really quickly at Bayern and Man City - Pep never stuck to one system, but it took a season of learning in the Premier.

Therefore I can't be arsed with all these managers suggested with their own style.

We need someone to come in, recognise what he's got and pick a system to suit

This is the worrying part I do admit. Surely with a few freebies, loans and some money to spend after we sell fatawu winks faes skipp vestergaard we will have some money available to spend.

Think this might go towards paying some of £70m we owe off. I admire your optimism, but freebies are freebies for a reason. I understand we are still a relatively attractive club for L1, but I'm fearful that we start the same way as Rangers did under RM and with the fragile mentality of our players we are facing another long season.

You can’t say lucky tbf he took Southampton on a mad run after a hard start he had. He then went on to win the playoffs and beat Leeds in the final when everyone had them to lose.

I’d much prefer a manager who plays attacking heavy metal football I think we can all agree on this but you know what the board is like!

Martin gets sacked at every club he’s at fairly quickly. We can’t afford the compensation if (when) it all goes to

pot.

He also did well at Swansea before that

Wiki says Swansea finished 15th and 10th in the League during his period in charge

I wish we had finished 10th or 15th last season 😃

The Swansea fans thought he did well on a limited budget

That season had many mid / lower championship teams parking the bus and 'respecting' possession football too much. He had a team of riches that far surpassed those around him and his team made a meal of it. The Championship this season saw much less of that with the mid tier sides playing more aggressively.

It was a 1-0 over a Leeds team that had collapsed at the end of that season. Well done for doing it, but he couldn't have played them at a better time.

He went into a PL season ludicrously playing a system that got them annihilated, showing no self awareness or adaptability.  He then went to Rangers and completely messed it up.

The most worrying part for me is that he plays a style that exposes any fragility in the defence. He is like Brendan on Steroids passing sideways at the back inviting the press. We actually played less of that this season (still a bit mind you) but it was the worst part of our game. When the players he works with cant play his system (including Rangers) - he simply throws them under a bus.

Do you trust Glover and Rudderless to do this? We don't have a pot to pi$$ in atm.

It would be a disaster let's be honest.
