Middle aged couple with grown up son (presumably) Clapped them on, clapped throughout and clapped them off She was clearly annoyed my me and my son giving some warranted booing and some criticism of our play and called me a tw@t for doing so She seemed desperate to prove she was the "better" fan I think. When Winks came on and was getting booed she stood up and applauded It's bonkers. People can do what they want of course I've always been reluctant to boo players but I think we're way past that in this situation.

Some people, who do care about the club and go every week, will have been happy to turn up and see that spirit for once that’s all I am saying. Something called empathy we as a complete fan base seem to be totally lacking at the moment.

Several rows in front of me in SK2, there was a couple in their 50s going out of their way to applaud the players as they trudged by. Not even subtle applause, it was like they were trying to show they were better fans by applauding them at the worst of times. Quite the opposite. When challenged, they backed that it is their club and they can clap if they want to. In the moment of resignation and despair, is really got to me as I'm coming to terms with back-to-back relegations and there are those that just seem utterly unaware of the gravity of the situation. It is dire, and we stand now on the edge of financial oblivion. Or maybe I'm missing something, and I just need to lighten up. Clappers, it's your right to clap, doesn't mean you are right in that time. As a matter of fact, it could not be a worse time. 3

So what if the players put in a bit of fight tonight, that’s the bare minimum and if they had done that in the past 3 home games and Wednesday away, they’d likely be safe now.

I’d have no problem with a phoenix club over this mess I have to say. The whole fan base is broken and at odds with each other, I legitimately think Sheffield Wednesday have more chance than us in the long run unless we can fix that because they are at least somewhat united. And honestly mate the way you are talking is the way phoenix clubs start. I’m still hopeful if we stop coming down on them so hard they might eventually see the light as surely there only so long you can go on before something has to give. And also phoenix clubs carry their own problems.
