In the end Japan totally parked the bus but you can't blame them, a draw was as good as a win to them. And Sweden survives anyway, so they weren't pushing as hard as they could have. Still almost pipped it though.

Japan - Brazil in the R32 then? Should be a cracker. Japan beat them 3-2 in a friendly fairly recently so they're more than capable.

Japan really should have tanked that match to avoid Brazil. But that's harder to do in practice than it is in theory.

I think Sweden get France or Norway anyway so either way would be very tough .

Anthony Elanga didn’t know a point was enough for Sweden and thought they’d gone out. Probably explains why he was man of the match.

I did wonder why his reaction was so different to that of Potter and the coaches . Elanga seemed on verge of tears.
