Started off pretty easy but couldn't think of anyone decent to play left wing so ended up going with 3 centre backs and using wing backs but ended up with Mahrez playing up top or just behind Vardy. Could have used Guppy or Barnes but would have meant dropping Vardy which I just couldn't do. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I would drop Elliott and bring in Okazaki, allowing Mahrez to go out on the wing, but as you say, makes an unbalanced team on the left wing, though you could go with Steve Corica who played right wing for us sometimes and stick Mahrez out left as a left footer. 

 

While Elliott is a Leicester great, I think the space that Shinji used to create for Vardy is very much under appreciated by some. Also, though he played for Scotland, Elliott was very much English.

Could have gone Gray for Jamaica left Midfield. Left side attack is the most difficult to fill really. Controversial call but Tielemans is a better player than Izzet and Lennon. He’s shown it since, people just don’t like how it ended with us.

Been covered before, but I don't disagree. Different types of players. Technically I don't think there's much doubt about that statement. Izzet was glorious, but Tielemans is probably the most gifted I've seen in a Leicester shirt along with Mahrez. The regularity of his elite level screamers, the superb passes and the way he would dictate tempo alongside Maddison when we were a good side... Those first couple of seasons under Rodgers were the most pleasing from an entertainment point of view, IMO.

Lennon and Izzet were probably better allrounders with their combative 'British' styles and will understandably be held in high regard by Leicester fans.

Yes, you’ve nailed my opinion on them. Savage as well complimented that combative style really well, as a three centre mids they must have been a nightmare to play against.
