Middlesboro as yet have not filled that Hayden Hackney sized hole in there midfield and Norwich who also hold an interest, haven’t signed a midfielder so let’s hope we can tie up an acceptable deal either permanent or loan with an option/obligation this week.

I agree.

What sticks from last season with regards to Skipp is him running around a lot. That's it.

Doesn't win tackles, doesn't block, doesn't get into it, doesn't come up with assists, can't score (although I don't expect this from him, given his position on the field). No long balls, either.

He's a bit like a ghost.

We literally just pay him for appearing.

Should he stay, I expect a LOT more from him, needs to have more impact on the pitch.

Maybe him being so utterly ineffective is also down to bad coaching in the past.

I agree with most of that, but he did block and tackle. Still he has been the poorest of poor signing.

This will have to be a loan.

No one is paying the 12m required.

If he’s loaned out with at least the majority of his wages covered, even without an option to buy while we bring Archie Collins In…good business.

I think it’ll be a late in the window loan with option to one of those two. Perhaps with someone coming on loan in return.

This reminded me that he played for them.

It could be a good move for him as he did well there before and I'd imagine their fans like him.

It's fair to say we've never seen him this happy..

Poor (or great) choice of words.

And probably explains why he was so happy before compared to now, if he was putting his pelvis to use...
