I suppose we'll keep him. For now.

Skipp is a hard sell, no standout player.

He needs to prove himself in League One and make up for the disaster that was last season.

 

More impact in (defensive) midfield, more impact going forward (assists), more dominance.

 

Ar 25, there's still potential. About time it shows.

If we had paid the £3m-£5m he was valued at no one would be criticising as much - we paid way over the top and sadly it’s not his fault he was never worth the money.

if we can move him on I would be sadly the book value and wages will be massively challenging - in the meantime he may be a player we try to use but my sense is a loan maybe the way out for all!

You can level a lot of criticism at him, the fee and wages (not his fault) but more the fact he could be too anonymous and not take a game by the scruff of the neck and lead as a player who should be experienced enough. Maybe that is confidence so again, a criticism.

 

But I’m not sure a ‘really bad attitude’ is something you can really throw at him. Not when the competition is Winks, Faes, Vestergaard, VK etc.

Seriously? He was a crap signing for many reasons, but he's the one player that I would never level this kind of accusation at. And he probably spoke to the media more than any other player last year, as I suspect he would be the one guy to offer.

I hate hearing 'this is not his fault' and 'that is not his fault'.  We have the right to demand a far higher standard from him than he has shown and that is his fault.

I would love to see a professional scouting report on him.  Just using the eye test I can’t see any single attribute that stands out.  He doesn’t have any skill that a manager could focus on at the expense of the rest of his nothingness. 

 

He plays football like my dog chasing a split tennis ball, he bolts to where the ball left the foot and carries on in that direction even after watching it pass by. 

 

If someone needs a player to be on the edge of the oppositions box with the ball and it needs to go back to his keeper, he’s the man for the job.

How many more divisions can that cope be used? He’s a massive problem by being shit, he’s just surrounded by stinkier shit. 
 

Now the two main idiots have gone, he’ll look even worse once the younger and new players apply themselves.

I found it quite funny in the first half of the season when we signed him where, as a defensive midfielder, he went about 3 months and only won about 3 tackles or something ridiculous like that

No one will take him off us because of the money he's on. That is what it will come down to.

 

He wont leave because clubs won't pay him the money we are, unless we subsidise his wages.

 

No one will pay money for him because he hasn't proven hes worth anything, definitely no where near the money we paid for him.

 

And why would any buy him? He's been anonymous in a team that has been relegated every year he's been here.

 

Wake up people, he's here for another three years.
